Space Mountain Re-Opening?

Just wondering if anyone has heard anything about the re-opening recently. Will be there the second week onf November and was hoping there might be a soft opening. The last I read it was still scheduled for Nov 21st. Thanks.

We just got back and there was a sign inside Space Mountain we saw when on the TTA and it said re-opening Winter 09 ... originally they said it was to re-open in Fall. Thinking it maybe got pushed back....it looked nowhere near ready. But pixie dust your way that it will be open!

Just saw on another site that the cars are going to be silver with a new color scheme. I don't know if I am allowed to post other websites on here, but the site was wdwnewstoday. It is on their magic kingdom photo report from today.

I'm just wondering what Winter 09 means. I think of winter 09 to have been Jan/Feb 09.

The Hub still shows it scheduled to reopen November 22.

We just came back yesterday and from the look of it there is no way it's going to be opening on time. The front of the building is under major construction and as far as we could see inside (via the TTA) it was still was a lot of work to be done.

Does anyone have any pictures of the construction? Sounds like people are seeing it so somebody has to be taking pictures.

i think it will be done on time i saw a recent vid of tta and it looks like they just have to put cars in and paint ceiling. they will get it done

Yes, but the entire outdoor entrance area of SM is completely torn up right now, and they're redoing a lot of it.

i went on TTA when it reopened in September and they put new astronauts in on the lift, and i just went on it the other day and they were missing. the space mountain sign is now painted neon green.
