Dawn! You're in technicolor! :woohoo:

Like the little squirrel....looks like Anita's Skippy Jane :goodvibes

I have no idea what the State jokes mean but they made me laugh anyway :rotfl:

I love the big leather sofa, wish I had a room big enough to put one in :lmao:

I've got family spread out all over the state, but when I come up I usually spend the bulk of my time in my mom's home town. It's a tiny little speck in the SW part of the state. The largest town close to it is Marshall. Where are you??
Hey - I grew up in Springfield, MN - about an hour or so from Marshall. What little speck are you from? I bet I not only know it, I bet we either played them in sports or competed against them in speech.

I was born and lived in New Ulm until I was 9 and moved to the Cities. Do we need to sing IASW? ;)

LOL :rotfl2::rotfl2: Okay I just went back and did some reading and the state mottos had me and my department chair laughing hysterically...Wisconsin's made me cry a bit LOL!!! WOW thanks for the great humor!

New Ulm??? Really?? I used to work at the McDonalds there. It paid for a good portion of my graduate school. Plus, that was the closest place to see a movie. I remember highway 14 well. Of course, we never played you in sports because your school was too big. Does that make you feel better?

Definitely will be subbing for this!!
You must not be using Photobucket as I can see your pix.
Work blocks out Photobucket.
Very funny so far, keep it up!!:rotfl:

Yeah - well you must be a lot younger than me. When we moved (remember I was 9) there wasn't a McDonalds in New Ulm!! I don't get back there much, we just go as far as St. Peter/Mankato to visit relatives.

Here ya go... View of Austin Downtown from a outer loop around the city.

Oooo! Pefect picture of how Austin/Texas isn't at all flat. Also shows how beautiful Austin is....but without the smog. This isn't the norm around here, it's usually crystal clear. Sandra Bullock moved here because of it's beauty and because she could actually go down the hill from her house to her local Star bucks and get a latte without being accosted. There are hills here like there are in California, near Laguna beach. Love that beach.
This picture actually shows my favorite bridge in Austin (that's what that brown arch thingy is, it's hard to tell it's a bridge from the picture), it's such a beautiful scene going over this bridge, the river is so pretty when you cross it....it's on my way to see my favorite places to frequent on that side of town. :lovestruc :lovestruc The down town is pretty hard to see in this pic because of the smog, the down town is what's in the furthest part of the picture.
I can't wait to show you Dawn. :yay: When are you gonna get your nakie butt out here?!?! ;)

Thought you all might like to see a picture of Millie's gramps as he gets ready to go clubbing Saturday night.:3dglasses:rotfl:

 OK, Dan. As much as that's funny, your forcing me to show a picture of my grandpa. He's 93, still drives, and lives on his own, hope I'm that with it if I live that long. I need to find it in all of my pictures I'll have to search through. I have a family picture of my little sisters colllege graduation. So you'll actually get to see a picture of me too. I'll post it as soon as I can find it. :)

Glad you found it funny...my best friends live in N Ireland and sometimes the jokes don't transfer as well as I would like.
I love the big leather sofa, wish I had a room big enough to put one in :lmao:
I think most of the houses I was in while in Ireland had much smaller family rooms then we get here.
Dawn! You're in technicolor! :woohoo:
At least it wasn't high def!:scared1:

LOL :rotfl2::rotfl2: Okay I just went back and did some reading and the state mottos had me and my department chair laughing hysterically...Wisconsin's made me cry a bit LOL!!! WOW thanks for the great humor!
Don't get fired!:goodvibes
Oh crap.....I missed a Shocker picture last night and now I am at work. And at the rate this thread goes, I may never find it again tonight! :rotfl:
I know! I have been on the phone all day with 2 colleges and would rather be here for sure!:headache:

I do use photobucket for my personal pics...maybe they changed your opening abilities!
This made me laugh out loud! :rotfl:
Glad I made you laugh today!

Is "Brown archy thing" a technical term your Texas architects use?:rotfl2:
I can't wait to show you Dawn. :yay: When are you gonna get your nakie butt out here?!?! ;)
I am working on Feb!
 OK, Dan. As much as that's funny, your forcing me to show a picture of my grandpa. So you'll actually get to see a picture of me too. I'll post it as soon as I can find it. :)

Can't wait to see a picture soon!

Woo hoo!!!!! Let me know about the Feb Austin Dis meet. I can try to round up some more people for a Silpada party!! :cool1:

Texas has pretty spots and UGLY spots. There are a lot of mountains out in Southwest Texas.... toward El Paso. Guadalupe Moutains I think... it's been a while since I've studied Texas Geography.
Texas has about every kind of area you can imagine- swamp land, coastal lands, mountain, hills, dry desert, flat farmland, etc.

The day I took that picture it was reaaaaaaaally hazy and Millie's right... not normally a problem we have here in Austin. Houston... that's a whole nother story. GAK @ the smog.

I actually took that picture to mail to my then long distance boyfriend that wanted to know what Austin was like. We've been married 5 years now. :lovestruc I guess he thought Austin was pretty, too. :rotfl:

I need to get back up there and take a few more pictures. I had to kinda sneak into someone's backyard to get that pic! :rolleyes1 There wasn't a fence though!!

I wanna meet your picture too Millie!

Hahahaha.....there is a book called the Naked Dawn! I KNEW IT! ( Psych - no I didn't, but shhhhhhhhh!)

Thanks Shocker!

I'm joining in, though I probably should not read this thread while at work any more. I was just catching up on your last trip report and got a lot of strange looks when I'm sitting in a corner laughing to myself so hard I start crying :rotfl2:
