this might seem like a silly question, but whenever we travel, packing the dirty clothes is always an issue with me LOL
i usally bring plastic bags to tie them up in( the smell drives me nuts)
now, reading and seeing a comerical for space bags, wondering if they would work great for dirty clothes.....BUT how do you get them sucked down for the dirty clothes? - having to use a vacum i mean ? - has anyone used a vacum in a hoteL lol? i am curious how people get them sucked back down for on the way home ??
they look like they would save a TON of room in suitcase for souviners -!!!!!

thank you

Tina

Just look for the ones that don't require the vacuum. I have ones that I seal and can roll the air out of. They are really nice since it allows me to keep all my dirty clothes in one place and save quite a bit of space on the return trip home. I sometimes pack int hem on the way there, things I don't care if they are wrinked like socks and underwear. The ones I have come in different sizes, but I find the medium works the best for the size suitcase I have since usually there are at least one larger breakable box in the suitcase anyways.

ktglads, what brand are the bags you use and where have you purchased them, and how much $ ? Thanks,

Pam

I have used these bags also, they are great. Not only for dirty clothes but wet clothes like if you have wet beach towels or swim suits . Also they are great for extra space in the suit cases. I bought mine through QVC years ago. I have since seen them through LLBean. These are a must when traveling. Have fun. I'm jealous. I went to WDW in 2001 & 2003 and won't be back till 2006. Another pointer take lots of pictures you'll never regret taking too much pictures but you may regret not taking enough. ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo :sunny:

HI

I bought ours are Target for around 4 to 5 $ a piece :)

my DD (13) went to Italy this summer and I packed all her stuff in those bags.. They were sooo happy at customs. :) easier to see what was "In the bag" They were the ones that you roll up and squeeze out the air.. they came with a plastic clip that you slide across to make sure they are sealed..

the medium size one is the one my DH uses on his business trips.. ( he was randomly "checked" on his last trip and the put a nice note inside :) thanking him for being a "good travler" hmmm makes me wonder some times what they exactly do with the luggage :)

hope this helps

I just order a M size & L size (2pack deal) at Unique-Idea.com for $7.95! I ordered two, so my total is $15.90 and NO shipping & handling charge.

It's the ones you roll to press out the air, and it seems like a super deal to me.

Now the question is: Will it make it here before we leave? LOL
I emailed to ask them if they'd get delivered on time, hopefully the reply will be YES!!

Just thought I'd share my tip!:sunny:

Bed Bath & Beyond carries them as well (in sets too). I use them all the time for traveling as you can get more into your suitcase. The only problems is that the more room you have, the more you pack and the heavier the suitcase becomes. Just watch it if youre flying (I had to take out some things because I was over the weight limit). I have the roll type and use the vacuum type (works better) if I know I will have access to a hose vacuum.

I used the type you roll on our trip last summer. They're called Pack Bags. Used the on the way down and found that the clothes in these were not wrinkled at all. They were great for the dirty stuff. I can't stand that smell either.
