Spa Suggestion Please!

My fiance and I are honeymooning in Disney. I would love to surprise him (and me) with a nice couples massage....there are several spas, we are staying at the Grand Floridian, but I'm not sure if that's the BEST spa...so, who has some advice please!

I've had three very nice experiences over the years at the Grand Floridian spa, and then this past trip decided to try something new and went to the Mandara in the Dolphin... stick with the Grand Floridian. I was not impressed with the Mandara, at all.

Now, having said that, all the locals will tell you that the Canyon Ranch Spa in the Gaylord Palms hotel is a huge cut above anything on Disney property.

I'm trying that next time!

I would say Canyon Ranch at the Gaylord Palms or the spa at Saratoga Springs. The one at the Grand is not run by Disney and we had bad service there (have not been back since.)

Just a little note....

I know you're trying to surprise him. However, we walked into the spa at GF just to get their price list and stuff. They said if we came in today they would give us 20% off. So, my husband thought about it during lunch. After lunch, made his reservation for about an hour or so later (during DDs nap), and had his 20% off massage. They were literally standing around. It was Aug. and maybe not a huge spa month. But FWIW, they were giving walk-ins a discount. Best deal of the whole vacation!

I have only been to the GF spa for a Mani-pedi, but it was so relaxing! I would recommend it to anyone! The pedicure especially after all the walking just made my feet feel wonderful!

My wife raved about the massage at the Animal Kingdom Lodge! Although she never did tell me how much it cost....
