Just read rellingtwin's trip report. Sounds like the spa did not get an upgrade during drydock. When we cruised before a lot of things were broken in the Rainforest and the Surial. Just curious, how many of you have found broken showers, steamers etc. there, post and pre drydock?

Last DC we took the Sureal was a mess... broken shower, no steam, and the place looked dirty... no, I mean really filthy dirty. We had done three previous trips to the Sureal in the past and they were a blast.

There was an interesting twist to the last time... my lovely bride, in her haste to figure out how to generate steam, pushed the panic button. Sufice to say, they respond to that alarm in short order... if you ever push it you better be quick to grab some towels...

While the bath was a bummer, they did give us our money back...
In subsequent cruises we have put that experience on the been there done that list and found other ways to occupy ourselves on sea days.

It was very clean, however the shower problems still exist along with a lot of missing knobs and non functioning buttons. Same for the Surial bath. The sauna in the Surial bath was unbearably hot, we had to let it run, then when it shut off, we let it go about 5 minutes before entering. None of the showers worked entirely at the same time, and the rainforest's rain and fog showers were really bad as were the ones in the Surial Sauna in terms of being broken.

It basically looks like it needs a lot of plumbing work and they didn't do it in drydock. Its a shame too.

When I did the surial, the steam didn't work at all until the last couple of minutes of the hour. There wasn't hot water for the shower either, so no steam to loosen the mud, then cool water to wash it off. I'll never go back to that spa again. This was before renovation (last winter)
