Souvenirs - anything new and cool at the parks?

I confess we are the biggest suckers when it comes to WDW souvenirs (the girl section of our family, anyway) and we've done the charm bracelet (so much fun to look for new ones! Are there new ones?). Is there any new way of parting us from our money that I should know about before we leave in 11 days?

Hi there . Dont know about anything new yet as I dont go until July but I'm sure there will be plenty of new stuff for the 50th anniversary that will be able to suck your money out of your pockets. Remember you ARE going to Disney and I think they've cornered the market on the **Magic** of disappearing money.

If you are in to collecting trading pins, go to the pin trading web site and see the new pins coming out in May for the celebration. The pin of the castle is over the top and I can't wait to get my hands on it. Also, a cast member told me they are getting a pin that will talk like pal mickey and I hope it will be available to the public.

I didn't know they had a pin trading web site. What exactly is that? Both of my daughters collect the pins. A talking Pin? What will they come up with next? Imagine it would have to be some what heavy. Wonder how it could fit on a lanyard?

There was a posting near the beginning of last month that showed a pic of them. They are actually very similiar in function to the ROYAL brand digital address books . They hold addresses, ps information, fp alarm , and i think there is something like an autograph checklist on them too. If anyone has the thread link about this could you please post it . I know i wasnt hallucinating from too many choc covered mickey pretzels

I don't have the link, but I saw them with my own eyes a week ago. It looked pretty cool - but then I also saw a woman on the plane ride home working on hers, and it looked like she had to press pretty hard on the keys. Wonder if it's worth the $$ - I think it's like $25. There is also a similar hand-held trivia game.

There are new CD's for the celebration - there is a huge collector's box set that includes a book that has 6 CD's of Disneyland music and is $125. There is also going to be a 2-disc set for WDW - don't know if it's out yet.

I'm just bummed that the monorail magnet has been discontinued...but I refuse to pay the prices they've been fetching on eBay!

Anyone know what's being sold for cell phone accessories in the parks? I'm not talking chargers and stuff, but cell phone covers and the like? Or, do they even have that stuff? Last time I was at WDW I vaguely remember seeing something, but I wasn't interested - but now I got a new tricked out phone and really wanna DIS it up.

I never saw things at Disney but in the mall near where I live, the little cart full of covers and plates and all that jazz has a few Mickey ones, so you might want to try there.

I love the little mickey braclets like the "livestrong" ones. They come in a ton of colors and have mickey heads on them all the way around. Very cute and for $2, a cute little souveneir!
