Souvenir Park Tickets/Fast Pass Question

With our package from WDTC, we got souvenir park tickets that are like credit cards. How do these work in the fast pass machines?

You just insert them into the fastpass machine like you would with the paper tickets or an AP. The machine will read them the same.

They just pop right in there, no problems. APs at Disneyland are like credit cards, and they work fine as well.

You pop them in there like when you pay at the gas pump. Insert card, remove quickly. Below, a little slot spits out a tagboard ticket like a movie theatre ticket, that's your fastpass.

I was picturing the paper park ticket as being more narrow. I was just there a little over a week ago, you'd think I'd remember! I just pulled out my park ticket from last time, and yep, same size as a credit card.

No problem. I think I was a little confused the first time I used the plastic ticket as opposed to the paper tickets(and the first time I heard about fastpass, I was convinced my parents and siblings were pulling a trick on me since I hadn't been since '98 on account of college out of state).
