I just have to get it off my chest......I had been checking Southwest's website for over 7 months on flights from Houston to MCO and not ONE time NOT ONE SINGLE TIME DID THEY BUDGE FROM $198 for both ways. Finally I buy my tickets a month out and the VERY NEXT WEEK they drop down, and now 12 days out they drop down even more to $120 both ways:sad:. I could have saved $300:furious: (I purchased 2 tickets). Yes I know I can get a credit, but dangit I'm still mad.

Now that I've got that out, I'm still very excited about my trip. I probably shouldn't have even check the website after I bought my tickets....what was I thinking.

If you didn't check, you wouldn't have the credit now for another trip.

Let me be sure I understand...
you're upset that you saved money on your next WDW trip? ;)

Look at the bright side... if you were on a "legacy" airline, you'd get $0 credit.

I would just be happy for SWA's rates to be reasonable enough to even book a flight. Have been watching for months and they just seem to keep increasing. For our family, just cannot justify paying $700 and up per person round trip from Chicago to Orlando. Will keep watching though, you never know.....

When are you going that its so much? I don't think I've ever paid more than $300 per person round-trip between MDW and MCO.

ITA - we are flying out of MDW in January - February, and although we are using points, I believe the $ value was around $78 one-way.

Happened to me too. So now I sit with a $94 credit for all four of us. I'm like, "cool" I have a credit, but where could we possibly fly for that, and if I cant, it means I need to plan a trip I wasnt planning on taking before Sept of next year cus I bought my Dec tix in Sept. Hubby says "universal?" :rotfl2: we'll have part of the tickets :rotfl2:

I say - that almost $400 is a drop in the bucket of a trip budget back or Orlando. :rotfl2:

So IDK what we will do with the credit. But, I have it! :rotfl2:

They never did drop for me which is why we ended up on Spirit. I personally blame SW for that discomfort!

When are you going?

40% off sale :sad1: but I do have RT from Hartford to Orlando for $151 (9060 points) so I can't REALLY complain!!!

my flights won't go down anymore but.... outbound just went down another $5. So I'm at $73 each way with less than 2 weeks to go. Hoping this means the flights are not full so I have a little room to move on the plane!!
