We are flying Southwest. (I just finished printing my boarding passes for tomorrow morning .) I know that for our return flight we can have concierge or guest relations at the parks help us check in and print boarding passes for our return flight. My question is that if we check in using our blackberry or our laptop which won't print passes, if we are an "A" will we still be an "A" at the airport, or will our classification change based on when the actual boarding passes are printed...an A on the blackberry could end up being a C if printed at the terminal?

You place in line is determined by when you check in, not by when you print the pass. So if you check in 24-hour ahead of time, but don't print until you get to the airport, you'll still have your A pass.

Most people feel that they must print their boarding passes immediately. If you have luggage to be checked then you are better off to print them at the airport at the same time you are checking your luggage. Your boarding pass number will not change regardless of when or how many times you print it. Save your ink and paper and print it at the airport.

Check in from my mobile phone but do not have to print boarding passes at that time. When I get to MCO (using Magical Express), I collect my luggage from the bus....and use curbside check-in for my bags and then at that time I can get my boarding passes printed? Correct?

I don't have a printer hooked up to my personal laptop. Anytime I need to print something I always go to my work computer (work from home, not really a big deal.) But whenever I check in for a flight, SW included, I always forget that and check in on my personal one! So I can't print it. Not a big deal. Just go and get it reprinted at the airport. Same thing if you leave your boarding passes sitting on your counter and you're already half-way to the airport...just reprint! ...not that I've ever done that...

So yes, it really doesn't matter how you log-in and check-in. Just that you do it 24 hours ahead of time for that A!

I'm going to have my Dsis, at home, check us in 24 hours before our return flight (about 3:30 p.m. PST) and then fax me the boarding passes to POP. That way I'll have them in hand when I check-in my luggage in the a.m. at the resort.

And for those of you flying SW, they started another fare sale. I changed our tickets during last weeks 48 hour sale (saved $174 on 3 tickets). Some flights from Calif. to FL are going for $96/e.w.

Little piece of advice. When you get to the airport re-print the BP's at a kiosk. Faxed BP's almost never work for getting onto the aircraft; the type of barcode that is used gets blurred a bit when it is faxed. You can get through security with it, but 10-1 if you try to board with it you'll end up having to go to the gate agent for a reprint, which will mean losing your place in line as others continue to board while you have it done.

Yep we did this last April when we flew back to Seattle, It work out great my DS log us In 24hr from our flight and printed them out at the airport and still had the same seating letter.
