So this is going to be my first time traveling with a lap infant. I have read about the need to show my DS's birth certificate at checkin on the way down. But how does it work on the way back? Do we just show his birth certificate at the resort? Or do we have to stop at the check in desk at MCO?

I believe you have to stop at the counter at the airport.

I called SWA to find out exactly what I needed to do, and was told I had to call them in advance of flying and have him added to the reservation along with our paid seats. She took down our confirmation info, then his name and birthdate. Then I showed his birth certificate at the counter where we checked out bags both ways.

Meeko5- Did you take Magical Express? Did you show the certificate at the resort on the way back?

We did take ME, but due to long lines at RAC we ended up having to take all the luggage on ME with us and check it at the airport >:( So we showed them the birth certificate there.

I flew with a lap child in November. I called SWA ahead to add her to the reservation and showed the birth certificate at the counter on the way down. We did the resort check in at the yacht club for our flight home and I just showed them the certificate. They printed the boarding pass right there. When ME dropped us off at the airport we went straight to security!
