Hello,
I was looking at southwest and saw they have web specials for only like 49-99 one way which so far is the best I can find. My question is, has anyone booked a web special with airtran or southwest? We dont pick our seats and I think people who paid more for the same flight do? Im concered with getting atleast 2 seats together since we are traveling with a autistic 7 yr old.

I only book Southwest Ding specials. Nobody on Southwest gets to pick there seat. You can print your boarding pass the morning of your flight. It will be numbered. You board the plane that way. Also anyone with a small child or that needs special assistance gets to board first so you should be fine.

Thanks! We boarded first last yr because we also have an eldery handicap person with us so I figured it should be fine. I just wanted to make sure that everyone else who didnt get the webspecial wouldnt already be assigned seats and there would only be a few random empty seats for the "web special" people. lol.

Did you call ahead to inquire about pre-boarding or did you take care of it when you got to the airport? I am flying SW next week and am in a leg cast unable to stand for any length of time without being in pain. I was interested in what the procedure would be to pre-board. Thanks!:)

With Airtran you get to pick your seats when you check in 24 hrs before when you get your boarding pass online. THat's what we did in Sept with our web special fare.

Lee :yay:
