We will be leaving Saturday and flying first time with Southwest, any suggestions?? The way they board just kills me, strange way of doing that.

Thanks, Susan

Make sure you go check-in online 24 hours before your departure time to get your boarding pass. Boarding is actually very easy and SWA knows how to do it efficiently. Enjoy your flight.

Love southwest- I will only fly with them out of buffalo. Their flights are nonstop to Orlando and we always fly during the week which makes the airfare much cheaper. For the 2 of us our airfare was 308.60 nonstop out of buffalo roundtrip- you can beat that. Check in online up to 24 hours before your flight and you will get the best seats in the house!!

I love Southwest Airlines! I know the way they board is non traditional, but it seems to work.

Like another poster said, print your boarding passes at home 24 hours prior to departure, then when you get to the gate, just get in the line for those with boarding pass "A". That line is usually up against a wall, so you may be able to lean up against the wall if you get tired of standing. OR...if you're comfortable with sitting on the airport floor, I've seen people just make themselves comfortable on the floor and sit there in line while they're waiting!! :confused3

Southwest is a wonderful airline...my only complaint is no meal. We've only encountered one grumpy stewardess...and that was shortly after 9/11 and people were forming lines in the aisle waiting to get to the bathroom. I think she was just a little nervous...who can blame her?! Other than that, the Southwest staff is ALWAYS very friendly!

Anyway...I think you'll find that you will enjoy flying Southwest.

We have flown them serveral times and its always been a pleasant experiance. Have a great trip.:cool1:

If you have a web-enabled PDA or cell phone, bookmark mobile.southwest.com on it and put a little sticker on your phone with your confirmation number. Then set your phone alarm to go off at a time that is 24 hours prior to your return flight home. Then you will be able to easily check in for your flight and get A passes no matter where you are! You can easily print boarding passes at your resort or at the airport, but the important part is securing that A.

I was about to suggest exactly the same thing. I guess I don't have to, now.
