I believe so.

Just print your boarding pass at home 24 hours in advance and you'll be sure to get "A" group. You'll virtually have your pick of the seats.

If you're staying in a hotel the front desk is usually glad to print it for you. If you're stay with friends or family, perhaps they will do it. Just make sure you bring your confirmation number with you.

Yes, they do. DH flew with them this week; in fact, he's on his way home right now.

They offer 24 hour check-in online, as said above, which I highly recommend doing. I can't imagine a hotel not having the ability to access the internet these days but you could also run over to a Kinkos or someplace like that if you had to. Southwest will not allow a faxed copy though--that was something we had considered for DH before finding out he could print it at the hotel.

If you only have access to online, but no printer (we've been there) you can check in 24 hours in advance and then get the ticket printed out at the kiosk/desk at the airport. You still have the ability to get the "A" seating, but don't need full access to a computer.

That way you can also have someone who does have access, check in online for you a day in advance and get the "A" as well.

Southwest even has a simplified version just for cell phones so people can check in more easily, without the browser locking up or not loading right. Just don't forget to bring your confirmation number with you (though we found they were really nice about looking it up for us via phone)

As everyone else has said calling 24 hr in advance. Get "A" boarding pass. On our return trip I had my son reserve online and printed pass at check in counter. This worked great for us except our flight to our first stop to Disney was late, then we had to run to catch the connecting flight and with our "A" boarding pass we were the last to board and were split up and had to sit in the middle seats among strangers, even my 12 yr old.

You are not always guaranteed an A boarding pass. I fly probably 10 to 12 times a year on southwest and only a select few times do I receive an A and this is checking on 24 hours in advance.

Then what's determining factor for getting an "A" boarding pass?

I have gotten a B pass when checking in online the day before, so make sure you check in early, as in right when you can! Though we haven't had a problem getting a seat together in the B group.

They open up checking in online 24 hours before your departure time. The sooner you check in online to that time the more likely it is you will be an A. You are not always going to get an A simply by checking in 24 hours in advance. They only distribute a certain number of A passes then they move on to B followed by C. I have flown southest tons of times and have always managed to be an A. I think the latest I checked in online though was three hours from my check in time opening up and that was Thanksgiving weekend.
