No luck for us!![]()
Fares are just as high, if not higher, than fares that have already been out for us. I was hoping for some really good prices.
Congrats to everyone that scored great fares!
Us either, and I can't find anything any cheaper. I'm actually trying to decide whether we should even take the trip at this point as the cheapest tickets are almost $400 per person and we can't drive as it was meant to be a long weekend trip. I just knew that mid October would have nice rates...But I've looked at the entire month and no one way tickets for under $189....
My pre-cruise hotel and rental car arrangements are kind of dependent on having the flights booked first. I'm so antsy to get all that part of the planning done! DH & I have over 100,000 points to use, so another airline really isn't an option, especially since legacy airlines are the only other choices (at >$600 round trip per person) from where we are.Decided to check, and. I was able to get Hartford/BDL non-stop r/t to MCO for 250.00 p.p.

Not great rates out of PHL for our dates, booked JetBlue out of Newark instead, saved $73, just glad to have this done.

Fall 2008 I paid $59 each way out of Philly on Southwest airlines...less than $600 total for four round trip tickets! Those days are GONE!!

The Southwest schedule from Philly is much worse than previous years - only one non stop going down on 10/3 for example. AirTran has a large schedule.
I think we are seeing them prepare for the merger of schedules - we go down every October for FWF and this is very much out of the ordinary.
I bet in places where AirTran does not have a big presence the schedules are not too bad. But in Philly, there are so many AirTran flights, that there is no need to have a big SW schedule.
I read that SW anticipates a single carrier license in the first quarter of 2012. They also plan to use SW policies - free bags, etc., so I am hoping that if we book AirTran, some of the fees will be reimbursed?
