Southwest Rewards

Anybody know if SW is offering Rapid Rewards points for new members? I had seen info. some time back about getting something like 50,000 points for signing up but can't seem to find anything near that being offered now. Anyone have any insight? The only way we're going anywhere is if we can get an extremely good deal on flights. Thank you!

ETA: It doesn't have to be SW, but I know generally their rates are pretty good and they don't charge for luggage, so that would be a huge draw for us traveling with 2 young kids. That being said, if there are other rewards/points programs out there that can be redeemed for air travel, rental cars, hotels, etc, please feel free to share those, as well. We are Disney Visa card members, but I can't see us ever being able to redeem many Disney Reward Dollars. For popcorn, maybe, but that's about it!

We just got that SW card bonus last month, so it might still be working now.

Yesterday in the mail I received a pre-approved letter from AA for their AAdvantage card; they're offering 40k points if you get the card and then use it for $750 in the first couple of months, plus additional points if you use it in some other way in the first few months (sorry, don't have it in front of me). Even though we JUST got the SW card, I'm still thinking of getting the AA card since SW doesn't fly out of our nearest airport; need to do more research first.

I know they are still doing the 25,000 miles bonus - if you go to the rapid rewards page and then find the link for Promotions - its under there. I signed up a couple of weeks ago and my card arrived - had to make one purchase in order to get the miles - I bought a cup of coffee and they said that the 25,000 would be on there after the first billing cycle.
25K points is getting us Almost 2 round trip flights - I have to pay for one leg of the trip, which is around $100.

I have seen the offer for the 25,000 bonus points...am still looking for the best deal. Seems like they are pretty generous when it comes to both earning and redeeming, so hoping we can come up with something that works. We'd be putting a few of our monthly household expenses on the card to be able to earn points faster while paying it off every month.
