Southwest Reservation Dates Updated!!!

Yeah, they updated reservations through Dec. 13!

We are waiting and waiting for Dec 12-20 to open up.. It is closer than six months out. I wonder what the hold up is?

I noticed that their current specials expire at midnight 6/26 (tonight), so maybe tomorrow.....?????? I"m waiting for mid November!

And I know I have bought my tickets in July in past years so it has to be soon. on anouther thread they said they were going to open up through 12/13. We fly down 12/12 and return 12/20. I wonder if I should buy the 12/12 section when it opens up or wait for the whole package.

We're planning on flying down Dec. 3rd - and flying back on Dec. 16th.. Does that mean I can't buy a round-trip as soon as they open the December schedule?

It means, when it finally opens up, that you can book the trip if it is available. If your return date is not available, you cannot book it.

I'm probably one of the only people who is actually happy about this! Our power has been out, and just came back on - I was SO sure, by the time I got online that all the good airfares would be gone!

Southwest does not require roundtrip purchases to qualify for the good airfare, infact both legs of the trip are priced seperately. so you could gamble and book the way down and then book the return once it opens. Since I know what a good fare for our trip is (this will be the third year in a row we have gone at this time) if I see that come up I will book that segment.

WOW... I'm happy - $149.50 RT from BWI. I know I've gotten cheaper in the past through Delta, but right now Delta's prices are up around $250!
