Southwest Question

Hello,

I am booked on SWA in June, I have never flown Southwest before. I think I know the answer to this, but I thought I would try anyway. I booked my flights in one way segments on points. There was a flight that was not available at the lower point values when I booked. It leaves 90 minutes after my current flight. Now, both of those flights are available for the same # of points. But they are quite a bit higher than the point level I booked at.
I am assuming that even though they are the same amount of points now, I cannot switch from one flight to another, is this correct?
I think the points would have to be refunded and rebooked (which wouldn't do me any good)??

Thanks!

Erika

You can rebook but only the amount of points you used on your first purchase will get credited to your account. I believe they do have the option to buy more points if you don't have enough to cover. Best of luck.

Thanks, that is what I figured. It's not worth 5300 more points to save 90 minutes on our layover (or work an extra 90 minutes). I will just keep an eye and see if they ever both go back to where they were when I booked.
