Traveling in November with my two daughters. Can I book them both a flight today, and then make a separate reservation for myself once my next points move over from my credit card on June 8th ???? This way they will be in line together, instead of me making the reservation for myself and one dd now... and then another dd next month??? make sense? I just didn't know if I could book two minors on a reservation without an adult. They are 9 and 11. tks.

You won't be able to unless you book them as unaccompanied minors. This morning I was booking my 6yr old and 9 yr old on my old Standard Awards and I forgot about that so I quickly booked a flight for myself first. You need to add your confirmation number to their reservation.

When you book has nothing to do with the line, you check in 24hrs before the flight so that determines boarding.

Thanks. Darn, I know the boarding number had to do with check or paying the extra 10 bucks. I just didn't want one of them to have to stand alone as I know with two different reservations we would have different boarding numbers. Guess I will just wait and hope the flight doesn't go up before the 8th. By looking at Oct prices, they are all thee same. Then I can just buy all three tickets at the same time. Thanks for the quick answer.

I just booked my 3 kids together and bought my husband's and my tickets using awards. How do I add my confirmation number to my children's reservation?

Perhaps, although chances are good you'll be in the same letter group. They don't have to be separated anyway, as you can always all stand with the highest boarding number.

Are they under 12? The booking should have prompted you. If they're over 12 it just asks "is there an accompanying adult" and you click yes and that's it.

You aren't always guaranteed to have boarding # together even on the same confirmation #. In the past we have checked in with 1 confirmation # right at the 24 hour mark and had numbers such as A34, A36, A39, A40, A42 etc.

The last time it happened I was flying with 3 kids alone. Since I was the first name on the reservation I had the first boarding #. I got in line with the kids and looked for the person with the number between us. I told them to go ahead since we didn't have connecting #'s. He laughed and stayed behind us. I told him he was more than welcome to help my kids! :rotfl2:

I would book yourself and your youngest child now. Then when your points hit your account book your older child and connect your #. When it comes time to check-in have 2 windows open with the #'s all filled out so that right at the 24 hour mark you can hit the button. Your numbers will probably be very close. You can always step out of order and all stand together at the higher # to be polite.
