Southwest Question

Thanks for all your replies. I have checked the BWI map and it is a little confusing but I can figure things out. I paid the 10.00 dollars so we can get on as quickly as possible on first flight and we are all set with knowing we probably won't sit together. I noticed that there seems to be plenty of flights on my connection( or so it seems) because there is airfare available for all three travel fares. Just going to go with a positive attitude( hey going to DISNEY, right!:goodvibes) and I will report on how things went when I get home.

Hope all goes smoothly!

I've been on Southwest's web site daily, just checking the status of various flights, either for today or tomorrow. Then I do it again the next day. Each time, I click on flights that have a switch at the airport we're switching in: Midway in Chicago.

The web site shows what gate the flight is supposed to land at-let's say B17-and then it shows which gate the next one is supposed to be at. In my example, it's B23. Looking at Midway's map shows how close B17 and B23 are to each other, and how to get from one to the other.

I'm all set!! :)

Don't worry!! If this is a Southwest Designated flight...in other words, one continuous flight designed by SW, rather than two different flights booked by you, SW will wait. They are aware of other flights coming in, and trust me, they don't want you to miss your flight. I was on an early evening flight in Midway and we waited 45 minutes because it was the last flight of the day to my city and they wanted to make sure everyone got on.
