Southwest Question ?

Could someone walk me through the cancelling and rebooking procedure. I have found a cheaper airfare than the one i already have with southwest. Not sure of the procedure. Thanks in advance.

I open 2 windows go all the way on the canceled flight right up to the point of canceling.

Then in the second window I book the Ding right up to paying ( if this takes to long you might lose your Ding fare they go fast).

I then confirm the cancel you get a credit number.
Then go back and put the credit number in to pay for the Ding.
YOU CAN ALSO DO THIS FOR NONE DING FARES

You don't have to cancel and rebook if it's not a ding fare.
Just go to Travel Tools and click on Change Air Reservation, enter conf. # and "new" flights, even if they're the same as your original ressie. At the end it will tell you how much your credit is and it will be attached to that conf. #
There's no fee for this.
