Southwest On-time Performance?

Does anyone know where I can find airline on-time performance by carrier and city?

I've heard two rumors about Southwest meeting schedule.... one was they are very good at meeting schedule and the other that they are very bad. Trying to sort it out.

Particularly interested in PHL-MCO

I don't know a link with this sort of data. From personal experience though, SWA has always been great.

Honestly, I don't think in 10 or so flights with them I have ever been late...always early if anything.

Southwest depends on on-time performance with quick turn-around times in order to keep their fares low. That being said, Philadelphia is very delay-prone due to the location in the NE corridor (with surrounding NYC & DC flight paths).

Since Southwest has only been flying out of Philadelphia since May, you probably won't find any data yet, but try this link for other airlines' experience at Philly and Southwest's experience at other airports in the country.

That's an interesting link--never saw it before. From my experience out of BWI Southwest has been either on time or early. We've actually been early more than on time.

I think the whole on time performance rating is a joke. When they know they are going to be late because of something they push back from the gate and you just sit there.

They can say they left the gate on time then. The airlines are good at playing games.

Everytime I fly Southwest (MHT/MCO), they've always been on-time departing, and usually 10-30 minutes early arriving.

I have flown SWA many times from MHT and have always left early and arrived early.

Crap...I hope I just didn't curse my Dec. trip!!!!!!!!
