Southwest now booking..

I booked with the Manchester prices. Yikes!! I paid this much last year over NH February break and didn't book on opening day like this. I know we'll be going back next February though and we're also considering a trip to CA as well so I know we'll use any credits we may get if/when the prices drop.

Prices for JB out of BOS for similar times for nonstops are even higher. I live 10 minutes from MHT and would have to hire a limo service to BOS.

BOS is cheaper if you don't care about nonstops.

We are looking for St. Louis or K.C. to MCO over May 29-June 5. Is $74 each way the best that can be had out there? With all the fees and taxes, it doesn't like a great deal. Will there be better deals closer to May?

I was shocked at the prices listed for my August trip. I logged on as soon as it opened up. End result, I added two days to our trip so that we are going Tuesday to Tuesday. Saved over $300 for four by extending the trip and playing with the times. The premiums on the first flight out going and evening flights out leaving were ridiculous. BTW, I hesitated while I checked with the Mrs. on extending and it cost me an additional $20- per ticket going ($89- to $109)!

I realize you can get a credit if the price goes down, but you have to use it by a set time. I just had a $160 credit from our last trip expire. If your family has limited vacation windows, the credit may not be such a good deal.

I am personally happy if I can get STL to MCO for under $100.00. I booked mine at 74.00. The only time I saw it better was last July I was able to rebook our Oct trip for $49.00 each way but the credit had to be used by March 4 since that was when we originally booked them. Unfortunately they have expired.

I am so disappointed. I was looking for IAD to MCO in late Sept and it looks like they don't do any non-stops now. I have to fly to Chicago first. Best rate is $74, but I don't like the times.

I also need flights from BDL and those prices were $114. I have a credit from my last trip, so I guess I will wait for now. :confused3

We were really happy with what we were able to get from Chicago for our Sept 4-11 trip. We got an early morning flight out (9:30 am) and a late morning flight back (11:50 am). After using our $86 credit, the total came out to $452.20 or 150.73 pp r/t.

Their prices really are coming up. Even though we'll be using award tickets, I checked the cash price. They wanted nearly $400/ticket for MDW to MCO for our October trip!

Even the situation with the award tickets wasn't great. There were almost no flights available for the Sun - Sun trip we're making. We wound up having to use Freedom Awards to get the schedule we wanted.

I seriously cannot believe the prices either. Long Island to MCO 8/22 $209 there and $122 back. Of course this is the trip that we are treating the grandparents' LOL

Providence, RI to Orlando, Florida in October, $299.40 per person. Up almost $80 over last year. I bought mine, but ouch thats a big difference. $139.00 each way seems like alot to previous years.

The prices are unreal. Jet Blue should be releasing Dec soon and if I can match my Sept flight or do better I am booking it ($219 n/s incl taxes), I am not waiting around for Southwest. Yes, parking is more in Boston, but DH travels for work and I will have him park at Preflight with the frequent parker card for rewards.

Oh, and I get this little thing called a SEAT ASSIGNMENT on Jet Blue! :rotfl2:

We booked ours from Columbus (OH) to MCO for our September trip today and they were $82 pp, not bad but I'm hoping they go a bit lower as we're planning a large family trip in November that we can use the credits for. We'll see!!

I know...seat assignments are great. I actually paid an additional $20 round trip for the Early Bird Check-in.

My family lives in RI so we can avoid having to park...we get a ride to and from the airport. Boston isn't an option for us, our vacation is 15 days long and parking would be ridiculous, for that amount of time. Oh well, its paid for and I'm greatful for a vacation at all! :)

PRICE DROP ALERT! If you booked, see if you are eligible for a flight credit!

When the Southwest fares came out last week, the cheapest out of PVD to MCO was $139 plus tax. I just checked the same dates this morning and there are $109 flights and $89 flights (during the weekdays).

The flight I was looking at last weeek (sept 2 and 9) is now $70 cheaper per person round trip!

Thanks!! :goodvibes My flight dropped $20 so I have the credit to use on a future flight (that is really nice of them to be able to do this [especially online so you don't have to call anyone and sit on hold for 45 minutes] but I wish they would refund the difference [of course, I know it makes more sense for them just to give you a credit ;)]). Thanks again!

The best we could do is right at $800 for two roundtrip from Dallas. Ugh.

I sure wish our prices would drop....I went out again this morning and the pricing for our Sept flight is STILL the same as the release day. I'm hoping that it'll go down .....I keep stalking the website....hoping....hoping..... :lmao:

ours went up
i booked the day after they opened up for then, and got $89 each way for 9/26 and 10/6, out of ISP. i haven't seen air that low for a while:banana: .(almost makes me feel a bit better about the crazy car rental prices....almost, but not quite;))

I have 3 $200 ($600.00 total) gift cards for Southwest and a $45 credit that is good until 2/2011 that i'm looking to sell or trade. The problem that I'm encountering is that SW will only allow four forms of payment on their website. Since my $45 credit is 3 @ $15.00, that is considered 3 of the 4 forms of payment. I'm kicking myself for buying those darn gift cards now. If anyone is looking to book on SW and can help me, please let me know. I'm not looking to make any money, just get my money back.

Mods - if this is not allowed, please let me know and I will remove. TIA
