Just booked my 11/29-12/4/03 flights! I'll take the $191.50 fare as I was looking for anything under $200 for BDL to MCO. I'll keep checking as I know these fares will go down eventually! At least I've got my flights booked. Oh, happy day!

I just booked from Buf to MCO for $204 per person...by the sounds of posts on this board, I was expecting something better...there was nothing available in the lowest "promotional" columns....can someone tell me if better prices open up and what is the process if they do to get the lower fare? Just was able to complete my october trip. We're using rapid rewards, but had to purchase for BIL. Managed to get $241 BDL -MCO. Really wanted that last flight of the day out of MCO or probably could have saved $50. Oh well, at least now I feel like we're REALLY going. Now to just wait for the FEB dates to open up. LOL!

Jo-Ann - If lower fares come out you have to cancel your current reservation, indicate that you want to apply funds to future travel and then rebook and apply the funds. Most people go through the on line booking process right up until the payment screen, the open the southwest site a second time and cancel the first, then reapply the funds. There is always a risk that because you have to cancel one before you can do the other that it might not work out exactly as you like. However, I have done it three times with no problem at all.

Since I'm flying over Thanksgiving it was $198 from PVD to MCO, but $10 cheaper to go thru Tampa. So I'm going to Tampa!!!!

Now to find that great car rental rate I had booked thru National earlier in the year. Actually, should I try modifying my existing ressie??? I mean, I have to cancel it anyway since I'm flying into a different airport, right???

Yeah! The trip always feels closer once I get my airline reservations. I got $484 for 2 from Manchester to Orlando. (About $110 more than last year).

We are in a similiar situation we are 12/12-12/20. The woman was VERY rude and said we JUST opened up 12/12 it may not be until August or Sept. that we open up the rest of December. Oct.24 was opened in March. She said if I don't like waiting to fly someone else Boy I really liked Southwest because of their customer service,, this was not what I expected

I just booked a direct flight from Hartford for $173!! Delta's direct flights are just a tad more but I didn't like the timing.

AnnMorin...off topic a bit but I know what you mean about SWA customer service. I always expect the best but once at MHT SWA counter I had the most miserable agent. She was obviously of very short temper and was her own worst enemy. What an attitude. It was a shock and it was awful! But I guess everyone has an off day.

I am so happy. I look at Southwest website a couple times a day, then today, finally it happened, I was able to book roundtrip air for myself and my daughter. Then after getting info about arrival and departure times and flight numbers, I called Yourride and spoke with Tom and made my reservations for a towncar. It is all more of a reality now that we are going to Disney World. Good luck everyone and have a great trip.

We just go our tickets out of Portland for $257 x 5. I was waiting for SW hoping we'd get nonstop flights and we did! It's a long flight from Portland to Orlando and I didn't want any stops. Does anyone know if they have meals onflight. With 3 kids I will bring snacks but am wondering if I need to bring something more substantial.

We are in the same situation we are going to Disney Dec. 7-14 so we only missed return flight by one day. I called Southwest to see if they knew when they would open the schedule for the rest of Dec. and she took the time to look in the system to see when they opened it last year for the rest of Dec. and advised probably the Week of July 27th. She was very nice and advised they opened through Dec. 14th last year the same time as they did this year and that it has been following the same pattern so I am hoping for the end of July. Keep our fingers crossed.

Yes, you will need to bring something substantial for your kids to eat on SWA. You can either pack a "picnic" or pick up some sandwiches at the airport. Then whenever you are hungry, get a drink from the attendant and have your lunch.

It has been their policy for years (maybe forever) that they only serve snacks (peanuts, pretzels, etc.) and drinks.

That was one of the main reasons they were considered "no-frills" or "budget." Of course, now most of the airlines do it because they are being "fiscally responsible."

On any flights over two hours, SWA serves peanuts and a snack box. The last time we flew SWA the snack box consisted of oreos, peanut butter crackers, and one other thing I can't remember.
