southwest military rate?

While I'm on hold with the airline for the 40 minute wait to ask this question, I figured I'll ask it here.

Has anyone used the southwest military rate? Is it worth it or is the wanna get away price cheaper? I really don't want to sit on hold to ask this question if I don't need to.

When I was on active duty, I used this a time or two.

Normally, the lowest internet rates are going to be your best bet when flying SWA.

However, for last-minute travel, the military rates are going to cost less than SWA's most expensive (walk-up) airfare. Plus, these tickets can be easily changed or cancelled, if necessary.

I agree with the above post. The internet rate is usually rediculously cheaper than the military "discount"!
