Hi, I need help from the SW experts. I read the website and want to mnake sure that I get it right. Can I take shampoo, hairspray, toothpaste in my luggage that is NOT a carryon? How about unopened snacks or little cereal packs?

Thanks!

Yes. You can take any sized personal care items in your checked bags. The 3 oz limit applies only to carry-on luggage. Sealed cereal boxes and snack packages are OK in checked bags and in carry-ons. Snacks that would be considered gels or liquids, however, are subject to the same 3-1-1 rules as any other liquids or gels.

The liquids are fine in your checked bag (NOT carryon). I always put my liquids in a ziploc bag, actually two, just in case they leak.

This is not just SW. The TSA rules are the same for all airlines.
