Southwest is giving 50,000 points again

Thank you all for the great information! I got the card last week and immediately spent my $1000 buying WDW and Southwest gift cards at Kroger during 4x fuel points. I am waiting to buy 3 tickets for May 13. Does anyone know if I can use the SW GC o " buy" any needed extra points ( didn't relize before I bought them couldn't use points and " cas" in same transaction). TIA!

One more thing that may help someone: I just checked and my points had not been added. Called Chase and they said points were ready to be transferred, just waiting for statement closing. I asked if I could move it up and they did by one week ( guess could have been sooner if I'd thought to ask earlier).

I had the link saved, took my son to the doctor, and now it says it is no longer available. I am hoping I find something that offers this deal. Our vacation next year is more likely if I can get a deal on airfare.

It was there this morning. I just checked and it is now only 25,000 points.
My Dh applied yesterday when it was 50,000 points. I was going to apply tomorrow. I will just wait until they offer it again. I'll keep checking.
I wish they would show dates when offer will expire.

I paid about $1100 for my family of 4 to fly out of those airports for travel in 9 days. And the prices I booked at are still cheaper than what is available on their site now.

We paid $1200 for 6 of us plus a lap child from the same airports. My hubby just filled out the info for the 50,000 points and we got approved for it so the deal was still there for the credit card as of 30 minutes.

I'm not getting that. I am only getting a page that says the offer is not valid and a 25,000 link comes up.

I had it bookmarked because I can't apply for a new card until my house refi is done. Sure enough, it says it's expired and then moved to a new link for 25000 points. I'll be waiting to see if the 50,000 comes up again anytime.

For those having a problem with seeing the 50 or 25,000 points option it maybe because the 50000 points offers are sometimes only offered to select people either through email or Chase.

I know when we It was offered to me (by email) I sent the link to my brother but when he opened it it redirected him to a 25000 point offer. I called chase and they explained the link is traced?! And only offered to certain people.

My bro had to wait and keep checking the southwest site to see when the offer came up again.

ETA : We were RR members previously, and he was not so that is why we received emails.

Ahhhh.... 50,000 PTs no longer offered! I also am waiting for a house refinance to be completed and Now I have missed the deal My family of three could have flown down and back on 50,000 PTs. So frustrated. How often does Southwest offer this deal- or did I completely miss the boat? This was how we were going to be able to afford going to WDW!

Can we pay our cable and car insurance with the card and will that qualify as a purchase? If not, I will just purchase gift cards to our local grocery store.

As long as your cable and car ins companies are ok with that (mine are,) SW will count those dollars.

I pay my cell phone bill & car ins with the SWA card and it's listed as a purchase. I think pretty much anything you put on the card will count as a purchase except a balance tranfer or cash advance.

Yup all purchases are counted, just not balance transfers.

We pay all our monthly bills and expenses on our card!
We are only 30000 points away from earning the companion pass

To help out with the points I'm planning on paying my parents bills on my card

We also pay the balance monthly as to not incur interest )

It looks as if I applied just in the nick of time to get the 50K bonus. My card arrived yesterday. Now I'm off to pay some bills!
