Southwest EBCI question

Back in May I purchased tickets figuring I would be home to do the 24 hr check in and decided not to do EBCI. Well I have to work and have noone else that can do it. The flight has since sold out.

My question is if I add EBCI now will it give me the same boarding number now as it would have if I would have added it back in May?

Hard to say. Some people have reported buying the EBCI well before others on their flight and getting a later boarding #. I've personally never purchased EBCI when I purchased tickets. I have always added it on much closer to my travel day and I have always gotten A's (good ones too) when using EBCI.

Only thing for sure is it will be better than if you waited until the 24 hour mark or even later!

Well I decided to "bite the bullet" and pay the $40 for EBCJ. One less thing I have to think about while I'm at work.
