Southwest EBCI...given Group B 20-25!!

I got A38 but DD and DH got B27 and DS whom I checked in right after DH got B45!. He's 15 so no worries but I hope I am able to get us all seats together! I am hoping they stick with the one adult, once child for family boarding! Now I am super nervous! Looks like everyone is buying EBCI now!
Family boarding is only for those families with children under 4. If they are 5 or older then they all board with their Boarding Pass. Something you could do is have your DH give his Boarding Pass to DS and have him use DS's Boarding pass. IDs are not checked at the Gate only the Boarding cards. That way Dad can be at the gate with the kids and watch them go down the jetway. If you don't sit at the front of the plane there should be seats together, even when the person with B45 boards.

Just checked in for our flight tomorrow. We were on 3 different intineraries so I had to try to check us all in at the same time. I always purchase EBCI for us on our return flight but never on our departing flight. Well, apparently, I checked the wrong box and didn't notice that I paid for EBCI for myself both ways. Thought I would pop back on and let everyone know how this went for us. I boarded the plane with the A's and was able to hold a row for us plus a seat across from us for DH. I was willing to give up his seat if it became an issue because I know there should be no saving - but it was not an issue when they boarded. However, by the time DS got on with his B45, things were pretty full and there was not much left but singles here and there (but not all middles). So, no issue with him popping in our middle seat. I did take note that the gate attendant announced family boarding was two adults plus the child. So, this means the whole family to me since I am sure they would let through an older sibling if they are letting both parents in.

I had EBCI on our return flight and we made it just under the mark with A 55-A59!

I agree with a PP that Orlando is probably the one flight that has the most usage with EBCI and issues with family boarding.
