Southwest Ding notifications?

Is it me? Is it the airports I've chosen? Or, has Southwest not released any "Ding" fares in a few weeks? I really can't remember the last time I had a ding. (Keep your minds out of the gutter people! LOL!)

Has anyone else experienced this?

I haven't seen any Ding fares in quite awhile as well. Used to see something almost daily. Seems somethings not working anymore.

I haven't gotten any DINGs in a long time. I think they must've discontinued it and not told anybody.

Same thing here. I am set to get ding offers from 3 different airports and have not gotten any in a while.

I've checked all over the SW site and can not find the DING! app to download so I'm guessing that Sw has discontinued it.

Well, I guess it makes me feel better that others aren't getting Ding notifications either. I did go to the SW website and put "ding" in the search box and it took me right to where you can download it to your computer or iphone. So, apparently the program is still in place. I guess there just haven't been any "ding" sales! Let's all keep are fingers crossed that we'll gets some "dings" soon!

The ding app for iPhone isn't working. I updated the SW app, and ever since, the ding part will not work for me. Judging by the latest app ratings for SW, it isn't working for anyone.

I have a lot of ding cities selected an I have not received anything since the first of December. I sent a request for info into SW, but never heard from them. Worried it is gone.

Emailed SW a few days ago regarding this issue. Got a message on my phone from SW today. Said that Ding is working fine but because of many specials such as last minute deals, winter specials etc. my city may not have many Ding deals.

I find that odd because I can't find anyone in any city that has said Ding is working find. I even put in 8 cities and still nothing after several weeks. From the service reps message I'm assuming that the number of Ding deals has been drastically reduced and is more of a rarity.

Add me to the list. I currently only have MDW to MCO selected as my airports and haven't received any alerts. I wasn't sure if it was an issue with the App or something else. I also have it installed on my Mac (I used to have the program on a PC) and nothing. Hopefully some deals happen soon.

Yep, I got my first Ding in forever tonight as well!! As soon as my laptop turned and I heard the sound, I was so surprised that I thought I was just hearing things since it has been so long. LOL

Since we are talking SW. What time of day EST will new flight open to book? I've read so many different times, from midnight to 10 CST. Planning on calling SW today and inquire but figure I may receive a quicker answer here!

Did notice one change at the bottom of the Ding window:

"Changes to any portion of the reservation (flight, dates, cities, and/or names of passengers) once purchased will result in the cancellation of the ENTIRE reservation and rebooking at the lowest fare available which could result in a fare increase."

They're back! Got one yesterday and one today. Nothing to/from MCO for the 4 cities I monitor on ding.

But a very nice deal between MKE/LGA starting at $86 each way for the entire month of April.

Got a ding and booked it for April. Albany, NY to Orlando.
