I've read about the early bird check, but we really don't want to purchase this. We are staying at Pop. Can we check in 24 hours ahead of time at the resort? If so, where? Can I check in at any park? Our 24 hour mark would be around 10:30 am and I'm sure we'll be at a park by then.

Yes you can. You can take your confirmation info to the front desk of the resort or to Guest Services in a park and they should be able to check you in at the 24 hr mark.

You can check in for your SWA flight at Guest Relations at any of the theme parks or Downtown Disney, or at the Lobby Concierge desk at any WDW resort (even if you're not staying there). Just don't forget that you need your confirmation number - write it down in a notebook, in the back of your autograph book, on a slip of paper in your wallet or lanyard, or note it on your cell phone.

You can also check in for your SWA flight using any web-enabled mobile phone. Even if you don't have a data plan, most mobile phones can access the net, and you'll incur per-minute or per-megabyte charges for the few minutes you're online. When checking in by mobile device, you obviously won't be able to print your boarding pass until you get to the airport, but don't worry; printing your boarding pass at the airport will not change your boarding group or number.

This is what we did, we checked in while on line for Thunder Mtn Railroad! The online checkin was a breeze. My husband did have a blackberry, so I don't know how it would work for just a regular phone. I would practice getting up the reservation. www.mobile.southwest.com


I should add that we have done it at Guest relations and at the hotel guest relations as well. All worked fine.

One more option - one I often use is to have a trusted friend or family member check you in from home. Then you can just re-print your boarding pass at the airport. If my T24 is during the work day my sister will check us in from her desk at work!

If you do plan to use guest services remember to bring ID in addition to your SWA confirmation number and allow time in case you have to wait in line.

What about having someone at home check you in ?? I'll be asking my DH to do it while I am there. I did check in this morning at 24 hrs and got A52 & A53.

In the past I have asked TWO good friends to check me in And remind them a few times before hand . They both checked me in, but neither of them would have known that the other was doing it, as it will just give you the same BP numbers even if you 'check in' more then once. It's just a back up plan in case one forgets or has something come up . I usually check as close to 24 hours when I'm somewhere I can check, just in case they forgot, I'd still be better then finding out later
