Southwest cancellation question

Has anyone heard any updates on this? I called last night and the representative told me that it had just been made available and walked me through the instructions that he had "just gotten but hadn't been able to read through yet". I had just cancelled my flights yesterday, so the expiration date was showing March 2021. He said I need to wait until it refreshed and showed Sept 2022. I checked today and the expiration date refreshed, but still no option to convert to points. Anyone else figure out a way?
