Just got my plane tickets to Orlando for Christmas break for under $400 pp direct from BUF. :cool1: Now I just need to find a rental car that's not going to cost me the same as the 4 airline tickets. :scared1:

I booked Dec 23rd buf to mco for $112. Havent booked my return yet because not sure what day we are coming home. Jan 1,2,3 or 4th. I was happy with that.

Try the KLM Flying Blue discount with National. I have an SUV for 8 days in August for $255, and that includes unlimited mileage, taxes, and a selection of added insurance coverages.

You can find all the details here:

The Flying Blue program is free to join and open to anyone :thumbsup2 .

Thanks Gina! The method outlined on the first page of that thread didn't work for me. There was no link to National on the partners page. :confused3 I then worked backwards from the end of the thread and used the code that you gave in your post a couple of weeks ago. Here Since we are going for 15 days, the rental is still :scared1:, but with the code it's about 60% of the regular price. And the code includes all the insurance.

Edited to add: I found a different code in that thread, also for National. The price it gave me was insanely low. It doesn't include insurance, but my own auto insurance will cover me. The code is: xz53043

Thanks for the reminder!
I just checked our dates (or close enough to them) and we have booked!! Found December 21 - January 3 round trip and non-stop for 4 for $1075.
I thought we'd be driving again so I'm so excited to be able to fly!. We'll be there for two extra days because of the time we'll save too.

Question has anyone flown southwest one way and jetblue the other way.

I found Southwest is cheaper the way down but Jetblue is cheaper for the way back.

I know you can book one way only but with magic express how easy is to do.

Thanks.

Yup - we've done that before and will do it again this summer. Very easy with ME

I tried the suggestions posted above for a rental with National but they don't have any mini vans. I would appreciate any help/advice with discount codes for mini vans. We will need a vehicle for Dec. 23 to Dec. 28 in Ft. Lauderdale.
TIA

Awesome! Glad it helped! :thumbsup2

Booked mine early yesterday morning from BWI (12/20-12/25)...$290 pp/rt. By the time the rest of my family (we're doing a big inlaw trip) booked, around 11:30 yesterday, the prices had gone up. I booked the 8am flight and they had to take the 6:45am flight to get the $290 pp/rt :crazy2: (that's early). Now that flight has gone up too. Good thing we booked right away (my rt flights are now $375 pp and there are 5 of us).

I booked 1 way for Nov 17th for this price, was extremely happy. Wanted to book with Jet Blue for the longest time but DH said to wait for Soutwest. I'm glad I did. JetBlue was $143/person 1 way and that was with a stopover. Southwest was $112 and is direct. DH wouldn't let me book return yet cause he thinks price is to high. Now I have to watch daily for return. We are also flying from BUF but we know return date, Nov 23.

Enjoy your trip!!!

I agree, the return is high right now. I have the money to buy them as soon as they go down. It doesn't matter which day we fly home. I off until the 6th. I will watch for SW and Jetblue, to come home. I have a $100 credit to use before March with JB so hoping it drops. I was very happy with $112 for my flight to MCO. Especially on the 23rd of Dec. First Xmas trip for us.
