Southwest started their Birthday Sale this morning.

Sale fares are only good for flights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays (but only Tuesday and Wednesday for flights to/from Florida).

The sale did nothing to reduce our flights, but I wanted to post it in case it benefited someone.

Good luck!

They must have changed the fares last night. I was able to snag better fares for my daughter and her boyfriend for October but my rate for December is actually for more points than I paid when I re-booked last week.

We were able to change our flight for an earlier time and a little less yesterday! And so glad I did because today it actually went up 30 dollars....

Yeah, based on reports elsewhere I think you're correct that the sale fares (quietly) went live some time last night.

me too! I have 2 upcoming flights, both are higher than ever, but thanks for posting!

Thanks, it helped me, of course I had to add two days to the beginning and two days to the end. Now, If I can just find a room :):)

I have been looking at extending my WDW trips for months. Flight prices were around $260 early yesterday. Last night, the return flight was listed as $99!!! Now my husband is hesitant on extending ugh! I told him he only has 3 days so he needs to decided asap!

Are you looking to stay onsite? I saw rooms available under FD at Wilderness Lodge. Unfortunately, staying there would increase my overall price by almost 2k.

I'm no expert on SW, but I don't think this is their anniversary sale yet. Last year, it was more around June 13. I expect it'll start next Tuesday.

I used points to book my flight, but my Providence to Orlando flight went down 1,500 points! Rebooked and have some "bonus" points now!

No change on any of my flights. Oh well. I got rock bottom prices at the time I booked them, anyway. Can't complain toooooo much ;)

Flights for our dates went up...not down! Never any deals from Portland, ME! Grrrrr!!!

booked our November trip put of PVD for $384 RT including EBCI for both flights. less than we paid in 2013.

Thank you! My savings was small (600 points) but hey it's something! Too bad I already booked my outbound flight on another airline, the deal was even better on the outbound flight. Oh well, 600 points is better than nothing!

Still over $100 more than when I booked months ago, for October. Oh well. That's what I like about SW. I can keep checking and changing for no fee.

No break for us here in Oklahoma for early December travel. Actually, to/from Florida is only valid Tuesday and Wednesday - naturally because I am leaving on a Saturday. :headache:

Oops, sorry! My bad - hope that didn't throw anyone off. I posted it about 3 minutes after I had woke up, so I wasn't quite all there yet.
