We are flying down in october from providence and I have been checking airfares for awile now. I have not been impressed with the rates. We flew last year for 140 r.t. per person. Now it is well over 200 p.p. I recently had a promotion code for southwest but misplaced it .. Does anyone have a discount code for southwest? It was for 10 percent off and there are 11 of us flying down so the savings would be good. Thank you....

The discount code has expired. No place to put it in the reservation window, means no code available. We are not allowed to give those codes as they are not available to the general public.
It is sent to RR members at random.

You might call them and see if your group qualifies for a group discount rate.

I just booked online and got a $99 each way from PVD, $198 RT, then add on the taxes and security fees, etc....it comes to $210 RT... I booked it now, didn't want to take any chances of it going up. I had been checking BOS rates, and they were around $205, so for $5 more, it's so much easier to leave from PVD. I really didn't want to drive up to Boston, especially in January!! I saw rates as low as $183 from BOS, but not at times I needed, and again, the drive up there entered into it.

if you don't mind a stop, try united out of providence. i am looking at $122 rt in november.

I just booked $200 roundtrip nonstop out of manchester, nh for January.

Disney here we come!!!

Couldn't find anything THAT low for January... plus I really don't want to make a stop. Some of the flights stopped in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Not bad, and DETROIT... now why would the airline fly us half way across the United States, then DOWN to Florida.... hmm, sometimes airlines DO NOT make sense.... it would be so much easier to just go straight down to Florida from Providence...

that $122 fare i posted yesterday is now over $200!!!!!

i went online to book it and it shot up over $100 a ticket!!!

this was going to be a cheap trip.....now i'm not sure if we're even going.....i'm so mad at myself for not booking it yesterday when i saw it.

I've been looking at Southwest flights since last April - when I decided I was going to take my DD and granddaughter on this trip.. I was looking in the late Nov - to early Dec. time frame and at one point for the three of us it was like $800 or something!!

Then they had the Fun Fares - and then this System Wide Internet Special.. I FINALLY got my DD to nail down the dates late on Tueday night.. I went on line yesterday and the flights were all booked solid!!! I ended up with different dates than we wanted - and had to cut the trip short in order to get a flight back home - but at that point I just booked it IMMEDIATELY..

Three round-trip airfares from upstate NY was $657 total.. Not the best deal, but all that was left!!

i settled for $170rt on delta out of providence 11/14-11/19

booked it this morning.

That's a really good price too!! much prefer the $122, I would have grabbed that one if I didn't mind changing planes.

I would be happy with anything under $200 for my trip in December. We leave the day after all the specials and Song is $308.50 pp from Bradley. Unfortunately I cannot change my dates with DH teaching schedule, we are leaving the day after he gives his module (semister) finals. I want to be back before Christmas Eve, not ready to be away for Christmas yet.

I just booked a non stop R/T out of St. Louis for 140.00. I went to the Southwest Airlines website and used the online Florida special link. I hope this helps.

Mazzarafe - keep checking the Song board because we did the same thing - leave out of Hartford, have been checking for a couple of months for early Nov - the Song price was quite high - as a fluke the other night i checked it again and the r/t, non-stop price to Orlando was down to $177 - booked it right away.

We're having to pay $350.00 per ticket for us!! We're going on Delta. In the winter, you can't chance going out of cheaper airports. Very expensive to fly anywhere out of here. Considered a resort area.
So if I found a ticket for 200.00, I'd be thrilled!!

Laura

I am thinking that we may book either through southwest or ATA. Go the the websites themselves if you are booking because I have noticed that thecompany sites are cheaper than the expedia or orbitz websites.

Does anyone think that they will extend the Florida sale into Aug? I would really like to get that $59 fare!:D

not likely on this sale since it expires on thursday, but that does not mean they will not have more sells coming up...

just keep checking and sign up for the email that is sent out every tuesday
