Does anyone know when southwest airlines opened up sales for February last year? As of today.... flights are available through January 9, 2007.

:confused3

I don't know the answer, but I suspect they will open up a new block either this Thursday or next Thursday. The real question is - Will they release a bigger block than they have in recent history. I'm waiting for the 14th - 24th. If they don't release my dates, for my sanity, I may have to book JB for 13th - 27th! We don't have to pay much more to stay the extra days (FW), but I'd rather not pull the kids from school for the extra time. So, here we wait, wait, wait.....

I got this from Flyer Talk....

Sept 26/05 - open to Feb 3/06 horizon shrink likely due to MSY replanning
Oct 27/05 - open to Mar 31/06

I got the email that says "travel through the end of schedule" today (which sometimes can indicate that the schedule is about to open up)

I think SW will open up to early Feb either tomorrow or Thursday. I need 1/13 - 1/20.

I'm waiting for Jan. 13th -19th to open. I've been logging in everyday just to see if the schedule has opened up. Hope we get to book our flights soon!

Does SW ever open dates in the afternoon or evening or is it always in the morning?

I'm going around the same time.. Are you going to buy your tickets as soon as the rates are up, and wait for a ding and get the difference on credit.. or are you going to wait for a ding to purchase?

I'm not sure yet. It depends on what the price is when it opens up. Last April, I bought the morning they opened and paid $520 for 2 people rt PVD to MCO 8/30 - 9/4. The air fares had been creeping upwards and I was afraid it was only going to get worse. Over the next couple of months, I was able to rebook cheaper fares (systemwide sales and Ding fares) and ended up paying $210 rt for 2 people.

If I buy the tickets as soon as they open using my credit, then cancel and rebook if/when I get a Ding, the expiration date on the credit will revert back to the original exp date (6/07 and 7/07) We're not so sure when we'll be traveling back to FL and I don't want to let these credits expire.
