So what does this mean I wonder for flights already booked, I remember something when I booked mine that stated because I booked before a certain time that baggage was 15 bux each now I wonder if that'll change............ bahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh what a pain !

Southwest doesn't charge for the first two bags per person, so if it were to change, it'd actually be in your favour.

But, currently, there will be no changes to the operating procedures of either airline, which will continue to operate separately each with their own policies. It is expected that they will receive permission to integrate the two fleets from Spring, 2012, at which time there will be changes.

They just finalised the acquisition today. I'm assuming they've sent out an email to those who hold reservations or something like that.

yes they just sent out an email last week............. not too often do I follow airline matters period until I'm booked to board one in 5 mths lol, so it was certainly news to me.
