What do you think of my Itinerary we are a Husband/Wife no kids (28/29 years old). We are going to travel in Early December. We are WDW vets but I have not been to DL since I was 8 years old. Are there things we could add to better fill our time. We are not locked into any plans accept the trip will between Decmber 6 - 21, 2008? We also considered adding a day and seeing sights in LA/Hollywood one day. Things like addtional stuido tour, Grauman's Chinese Theatre, Hollywood Walk of Fame, etc. We plan to rent a car to get around. Any advice would be great.

Day 1
Arrive in San Diego

Day 2
San Diego Zoo

Day 3
Seaworld

Day 4
USS Midway Museum
Maritime Museum of San Diego

Day 5
Travel Day to Anaheim

Day 6
Universal Studios
Universal City Walk

Day 7
Disneyland
Downtown Disney

Day 8
Disney's California Adventure
Downtown Disney

Day 9
Disneyland/Disney's California Adventure
Downtown Disney

Day 10
Drive back to San Diego Fly Home or leave from LAX

Looks like fun! I don't think you'll need a whole day to travel from San Diego to Anaheim. You could probably work in a stop at a beach?

You should visit the Hollywood Walk of Stars and Rodeo Drive. It's a true "LA" experience! Also, since there are no kids with you, you could also see a show at The Comedy Store. We saw Margaret Cho and it WAS NOT a special show.

I have consider this but I wonder is it to much since we will be driving from San Diego going to LA and then back to Anaheim to check into the hotel near DL. This would probably be a Saturday we would be making this drive. Any Advice???

I also wonder has anyone bought the Southern California City Pass stayed in Anaheim and traveled to SeaWorld and San Diego Zoo on separate days. How much trouble would this be in Early-Mid December? (traffic weekdays, traffic weekends etc.)

If you're going to go to SeaWorld and the zoo on separate days, it would really be in your best interest to just go on consecutive days and stay in San Diego. It's a minimum of 3 hours round trip, with no traffic, between Anaheim and those attractions.

Thanks for this info... we are heading to SO. CA in June. Plannning to spend some time visiting sites in San Diego too... maybe we'll plan to get a hotle room. Hmmm...:confused3

Is it realistic to visit the sites in LA on the travel day and then go to Anaheim. The day would be Friday December 12th.

Decmber 6 - 21, 2008 look into when Disneyland is changing to it's winter decorations and they change it's a small world and the haunted house it's cool

stuido tour you guys are young I wouldn't waste time

Grauman's Chinese Theatre, Hollywood Walk of Fame Can be a half day then I'd head over to santa monica and do the pier and venice beach is a mile south.

We plan to rent a car to get around. Any advice would be great. Yes you should rent a car

Day 1
Arrive in San Diego

Day 2

I forgot to mention the farmers market since it's right near Hollywood.

I would advise going to the Famers Market (there's a really good Cajan place in there called the Gumbo Pot here's the website for the markethttp://www.farmersmarketla.com/ )

if you've ever been to the MGM studios in FL. there's an area that's is a mock up of the actual Farmers Market in LA. it's a very historic and fun place to do some shopping and eating it's located on Fairfax just north of wilshire Bl.
it's on 3rd street and Fairfax technincally.

Rudy,

I am not in the Navy but I love planes and ships. Thats why I want see the USS Midway

Were actually considering adding a extra day in San Diego or LA/Anaheim. We are considering spending this day at the museums at Balboa park or a in day in LA or a day Knotts Berry Farms.

We want to spend the last 3 days at DLR. We love Disney.

So you are saying we should drive to LA on the travel day and stay there How long will that add to the drive and will have time to do anything that day. I hate changing hotels thats why I was looking at driving from Anaheim to Universal. We are not big beach people.

Why do you like old Town San diego?

We stayed in Anaheim at the Hojo our entire stay and drove to San Diego one day, did the zoo and a couple other little places. Drove to Legoland another day. One day drove up to Hollywood, did that then did Rodeo and drove down Santa Monica Blvd to the Pier. And another day drove a little north of Los Angelos to visit a relative after hitting Huntington Beach and went through Malibu Canyon and towards the beach. We also did 4 days at DL area. We didn't find it to be too much driving at all.

We didn't want to change hotels either and that is why we chose the method we did. We broke up our disney days so one day we would travel, the next we wouldn't.

Well I was suggesting staying in LA, because your looking at atleast an hr drive(with non to little traffic)
from Anahiem to any fun places in LA, not to mention the driving around LA (if your gonna do Hollywood, Getty Musum or universal studios)

only to then have to drive back down to LA adding another hr +

As for old town I found some links of others have posted on old town.
