South Beach Dieters......... Unite

Hi everybody! I haven't posted in a couple of days...been busy. I am finally seeing some progress in my body. I have been exercising diligently and not cheating and it is paying off. I am finally comfortably in a size 12 and hope to be in a 10 in about 2 months. I am slowly losing (1/2 - 1 1/2 lbs per week).

Everybody seems to be doing sooo well! I only have 1 1/2 lbs to lose before I can claim my 15 lb clippie. Wish me luck!

yeah WeirdEyes, any weight loss or inch loss is cause for celebration

wilderness01-no problem. That's what we are here for is to encourage each other with our weight loss, test and trials!!
 
Thanks, Sheree'! I'm more excited about the inches than I am the weight. I've lost 1 1/2 inches in my bust, 1 inch in my waist, and 1 inch in my hips since beginning in January. I've lost several inches (I think) in my actual abdomen area..didn't measure that when I began...should've though. I was in a tight 14, now size 12. :sunny:
 
WeirdEyes- I'm celebrating with you. I find that I lost inches a whole lot faster than pounds. So, I try very hard not to look at the scale. Just being able to walk in a store, try on a 14 and say, hey this doesn't fit and find that size 12, it's like music to my ears. You are doing a great job. Keep it up

Good news. My doc cleared me to start working out again as long as it doesn't cause any discomfort. The stone is still there, but smaller. The lithotripsy last week broke some pieces off, and I am scheduled for two more litho treatments (May 7 and June 4). Monday morning, it is back to working out for me.:bounce: :bounce:
 
Good that you can go back to working out, but so sorry that you have to have more treatments done. I will continue to keep you in my prayers!
 
I want to report my weigh in for the week. I am down 2 pounds and that brings my total lost to 51.5 pounds. I would claim my 50 pound clippie but since we're experiencing technical difficulities, I'll have to wait for it. But I'm so happy that I made it this far! South Beach is just great!

Jerry - I knew you'd be back up and in action soon. Take it easy on yourself as you start to work out again.

Well, I got up this morning and hit the Crossbow for my workout. I haven't worked out in about a month, since this kidney stone hit, but got the okay from the doc on Friday. It felt GOOD. I forgot how energized I get when I work out.

Now if I could just stop losing my hair..... :rolleyes:

Lisa, I'm sooo proud of your 51 lb loss! That is fabulous!!!!

I was sooooooooooo B-A-D on Sunday. I went to a family reunion and ate and ate! It was my first binge since I've been on the Beach. I was so sick afterwards. I told DH that if I had bulimia, you know what I would've done. I suffered! I will not do that again! I am back to working on it and plan on starting 4 miles aerobic walking tonight. I usually do 3 miles. Hopefully, the weight I gained on my binge will be gone by Friday. Gosh, what am I going to do on my cruise in May? I want to be able to eat what I want. I'll gain at least 10 lbs for sure! Oh my!

Hi everyone!

I see our thread is on the second page, and we can't have that!

I want to report in that I have lost 1.5 pounds which brings my total to 53 pounds and means I've reached my second 10% weight loss goal (first minigoal was 10% or 28 pounds, second minigoal was 10% or 25 pounds). Now I'll be working on my third 10% minigoal or 22 pounds.

I hope everyone else is doing well on the Beach! :)
 
ZerasPride- You are doing great. Your new way of eating is working well for you. I won't report anything until later on this week until all this extra water goes away. Have a good week everyone.

I started SB on Mon 4/19 - so far so good - no cheating & 6 lbs gone. I also started strength training. We went out to eat this morning - I had already had my morning omelete but DH & the kids hadn't eaten anything. They had waffles & hashbrowns & toast & all sorts of things. I had a burger with lettuce & tomato - no bun. I have been laying low about the diet - DH noticed I had pushed the bun away & asked what I was doing. One more week & I can some bread or pasta. This evening was tough so I grabbed my liter of water & am here DISing.

Okay, first time here, my Mom is doing the South Beach, and while I am not sure, I am considering it too. The only problem is I work at a preschool and it is really hard to sit down and eat lunch, do you think that it would be ok to have 1/2 a sanwhich with whole wheat bread, which equals 1 piece of bread per day, 5 days per week, would be ok, and if not during phase 1, during phase 2? Especially if I don't cheat otherwise? If not, how often do you think it would it be ok to have the one piece of bread for 1/2 a sandwhich? Thanks in advance!
