I was wondering if you can celebrate a birthday when it isn't quite your birthday. My birthday is Christmas day and we will be leaving on the 21st of December, can't afford to say in peak season. If you can where is the best place to celebrate, that is not much extra. I am taking my sister's kids for their first trip so I am reallly on a budget. my two kids plus her three kids eeekk!!!:scared1:

WDW doesn't ask for proof of a bday, anniversary, etc. I plan on doing a divers sign at Coral Reef for my parents anniversary which is in June but we're going in May. I am also taking advantage of the free personalized menus at the restaurant and having them make 2 up for Mothers Day and Fathers Day. The trip is actually for my college graduation but I figured since we're there we could kill like 3 birds w/one stone! My parents had their 25th ann. last June but they were in Vail, CO prior to June and my dad fell skiing and temp paralyzed his arm/hand so we havent been on a vay-cay since 2005 so we're going all out for this trip, my whole family deserves it!!

Thanks, your Dad will be in my prayers. I hope you reallly enjoy your trip!!

WDW doesn't "card" you, LOL!

Just so you know ... the rate that you get when you first check-in is the rate for the entire stay. So, you could check in before Holiday Season starts on 12/20 and still get Value Season rates for your birthday. Of course, it will be super crowded then and you're better off going the week you already have planned.

Really?

My birthday is July 19., My mothers is July 24.

We will be at the world July 6-13. Would it be cheezy to celebrate us both? We live in diffrent states and so haven't celebrated a birthday together in years.

thanks!!

Can anyone tell me what a divers sign at Coral Reef would be? And also about the personalized menus? Thanks!:goodvibes

Ya, if you have made a ressie at coral reef, you normally call the wdw dine number to make the ressie then if you call the actual restuarant you will talk to meredith or debbie who are managers of CR and you can set up a divers sign and/or menu. The diver sign is free and you can have whatever on it that will fit on a normal sheet of printer paper and they will 98% chance seat you next to the glass and the diver will appear at the glass with the sign. The menu is also free and you have it personalized. The manager you speak with will give you her email address and you can email her pics and a quote or saying you would like on it and then you can keep it. I have not yet sent her pics yet but I've heard sometimes they will send you what a mock one would look like but I'd rather be surprised, i know for sure my mom will cry! I hope this helps, let me know if you need any other help!

Thank you so much! Our anniversary will be during our trip, and I would love to kinda celebrate my kids b-days too. Can we do their b-days even though they are not during our trip? They are in April, July and August. Thanks!

Ya you can still do their bdays disney doesnt "card" anyone! If you need the number for CR let me know, it takes you directly to the restaurant and no one answered so i left a semi detailed message and meredith called me back within and hr and everything was set up for the divers sign in a matter of mins. They can even look up ur ressie if you dont have ur confirm number with you!

We were at Donalds Breakfasaurus the day of my actual birthday, this past September. My neice (age 6 at the time) and my sister made me were the birthday button :goodvibes

The CM serving our table - asked - was it actually my birthday - when I got up for more food. When I got back to the table - I had everyone singing Happy Birthday too me and a signed B-day card :cool1:

So basically since they don't "card" you, you can celebrate your birthday at every dinner?

I'll also be going to WDW the week of my birthday in April and was wondering this same thing.

Thanks you guys for the info, now all I have to do is somehow hint to my hubby I would love to celebrate my birthday while I am there. I can't let on it is what i really want then I won't be surprised!!:rotfl2: Unfortunately, if I don't hit in slam over the head with it I will be surprised, with nothing:lmao:

Haha, I'm doing it for graduation big time! I even sent my parents pics of cakes done at GF for graduation and as my dad saw the price sticker of over 40 bucks for an 8 piece cake (we're on the DDP) he quickly said no but nice try, so maybe i'll get something else fun instead!!

You can "celebrate" whenever you want. However, are you expecting something from the restaurant for your "celebration"? You're not really telling use what you're looking for here.

To be honest I have no idea what I want. The information about Coral Reef sounded nice. :)
