Well, we made it back, with our luggage intact! We had a wonderful time! I still plan to do a TR, but let me just say, if you EVER get a chance to go to Paris and/or London, PLEASE DO IT!!! Two of the most amazing interesting cities I've ever seen. We did almost everything on our lists, had good and not-so-good weather, took about 1800 pictures (between all four of us with 3 cameras), spent some fun time with great friends, and had some awesome adventures!
Of course, it wasn't perfect, but what trip is? Any problems were pretty minor, and certainly didn't turn the trip into any sort of disaster. I really loved seeing Europe, and although some things were different than I expected, it was so great. My girls (and DH and I) learned so much, and had such great experiences.
I will caution you - this is not an inexpensive trip. We tried to be reasonable with our spending and we chose to spend money on experiences rather than a lot of "stuff" to bring home - plus we didn't have much extra room! But we still came home with a few Euros and Pounds in our pockets. Mostly because of my stupidity at not just picking up a few things before we left and then there was no other store at the airport closer to our gate!
DH has uploaded the pics onto the computer, so now I'll start sorting into some photo bucket folders. It will be a while before I get started, so stay tuned here for the link.
Thanks to all of you who were following along here and on FB. We only had WIfi a little bit so I didn't put much up. It was weird how disconnected I felt from so much without using my iPhone!
We arrived last night, and today we have had glorious sunny warm weather at about 75 degrees! It's like a whole other vacation! Sadly DH has to go back to work tomorrow (his days off now are Sunday and Monday). I don't go back until Monday, so I'm getting caught up on the DIS and doing about 6 loads of laundry (that's after we did some in London too!)
It's nice to be home - two weeks is it for my trips. Any longer, and I think I'd not enjoy it as much. I hope all of you are doing well, and some of you may be enjoying your spring break trips now!
