I'm not sure if I'm too Disney crazed, but when I hear the word Boardwalk a great feeling comes over me. I can hear the music playing, the sound of flip flops on the planks, and the ringing of those bells on the bicycle cars. I love the breeze and sound of the ferry horn.
Okay, I just booked our October trip, I am a little giddy. We bought into Disney just a couple of years ago, and when we left the signing I told my husband to get ready for those feeling of remorse. We have never felt one bit of remorse for signing, just for not buying more points.

YA HOO !!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Make it 3 of us !!

I just finished loading my car with my Disney CD's .. and how silly I look cruisin' down the road ..singing Zip-A Dee-Do-Dah !!!
:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Can you imagine if we all lived in the same town on the same street?? WOW :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I agree 1000% ! After using up all our points, I tell DW we should skip a year. Then DW says she wants to book a trip in a few months, and I say I can't wait that long :rotfl:

We bought at BCV site unseen, but I keep wondering if we shouldn't have some BWV points (too)....

I agree I have never felt so relaxed and happy as when I wake up in the morning at BWV and walking out onto the balcony and hearing the sounds and smelling the fresh morning air.

I used to love the sound of the ferry horns, until Disney replaced them with what sounds like truck horns!!!

I love the sounds too. I can't wait till our next trip. I don't even get home from one trip and I am planning our next. We usually go at the same time every year and this year will be our first time as empty nesters. Our DD will be off to college and we will be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary!!!! I can't wait to hear those wonderful sounds of BWV @ Disney.

Yeah, I got a weird feeling when I was looking at a brochure for a place near Houston called "The Boardwalk Inn". I thought, "Hey, they can't use that name, that's my Disney home". Then I thought, oh yeah, Disney took it from New Jersey. :rolleyes1

I'll be there in October as well!

I like the Boardwalk for the Boardwalk, but not so much the rooms. But it just doesn't feel like a real boardwalk without a yellow sightseer tram blaring out 'Watch The Tram Car Please'.

-Joe, missing carefree days as a teenager down the shore.

Being raised just outside of Philadelphia, my family and I would treck to either Ocean City or Wildwood NJ for day / weekend trips down the shore. :) "watch the tram car please!"

I have to say, I'd rather be at the Disney Boardwalk.

We love the sounds and the scenery of Disney's boardwalk too... We stayed at the Yacht Club for our honeymoon (1998) and waking up to that beautiful view of the lighthouse with the boardwalk in the background was just awesome. I think we walked from Epcot and around the boardwalk every night of our honeymoon - very romantic.

Ever since then, none of the other resorts that we stayed at have quite measured up to being staying at Boardwalk resort area. IN FACT, when we went on our last Disney trip - Thanksgiving 2003 - we tried to go "value" (with two kids and not in DVC yet) and the beginning of the trip wasn't that "magical". Our third night in the AllStar sports (where I felt like a sardine and had to park 20 miles from our room), we frantically switched our reservations to the Boardwalk Inn, payed and additional $225 a night, just to re-live our honeymoon experience - even with the kids.

Needless to say, the last 6 days were increadible. That vacation also helped us take the plunge and join DVC a few months later.

BTW, we are heading to the BWV this June - with 3 kids, and one on the way!

Darla, we are celebrating our 20th anniversary in May and sending our oldest son to college in September too!!! And we're staying at the BWV in June and going on the Disney Magic to celebrate! Wasn't 1986 just yesterday?? Ahhh...went to Bermuda on our honeymoon and now three boys later. :goodvibes
