They are there but locked and not operational

They are still there and probably still functional but they have been closed to guests for a few years now sadly.

I absolutely loved the Soundsations booths.

I occasionally listen to it on youtube.

And every day life can remind me of it. Just the other day my sister said something in such a way that it reminded me of "with a few of... the parking lot".

Not sure if you know what ASMR is but soundsations was my first ASMR experience. I always got tingles and just an overall good relaxing feeling from it.

That's called "binaural" recording.

It's the same technology used in Stitches Great Escape, except instead of wearing headphones, the speakers are in the head/shoulder apparatus that lowers down.

Much of the "screaming" and many comments that sound like they are coming from fellow audience members heard in Stitch (and in the former Alien Encounter) is actually coming from the recorded "binaural" audio track.
The problem is that it is so realistic, most guests, especially kids, think that its real and start screaming themselves.
