Sorry, one more Christmas thread...favorite movie

I love Christmas movies and try to get to a lot of them.
We have MANY!!
Love the Muppets Christmas Carol (we collect Christmas Carol movies and have about 12 of them.....always looking for more, if anyone knows of any obscure ones, let me know)

Christmas Story is a must :teeth:
Both Miracles on 34th Street

And for Thanksgivng, Home for the Holidays! :)

A Christmas Story(my all-time favourite,I saw the lamp at one of the gift shops here)
Christmas Vacation
Charlie Brown

A Chirstmas Story. Last year on some channel they had a marathon, I watched it almost all day.

I've never seen It's a Wonderful Life or Miracle on 34th Street. I've seen bits an pieces of both, but never the whole thing.

Last year when my ds was in the hospital after his appendix burst (6 days before Christmas) he wanted to watch A Christmas Story pretty much non-stop. He loves it when Ralphie accidentally drops all the lug nuts (or whatever they are) and says FUDGE!

I like:

It's a Wonderful Life
Holiday Inn
Muppet Christmas Carol
Christmas Vacation.... Aunt Bethany cracks me up!
Miracle on 34th Street (Natalie Wood version)

But they are all good- I can't think of one I don't like- oh yeah The Homecoming.... when Elizabeth gets the "dead" doll and Mary Ellen wants to put the birds nest in the tree- I don't like that movie!

Definitely WHITE CHRISTMAS with Bing, Rosemary Clooney and Danny Kaye. Can't decorate the tree without it!! Also love the Homecoming and the Little House on the Prairie one.

"The Bishop's Wife" with Cary Grant, Loretta Young, and David Niven. There's also "Christmas in Connecticut" with Barbara Stanwyck and Dennis Morgan.

I have a little kinown Christmas movies called "A Holiday Affair" starring a very young Janet Leigh, Robert Mitchum and Wendall Corey. One of my favorites.

I like all of them. :) But I have to watch White Christmas.

I forgot to mention All I Want For Christmas in my first post.
That is a good one too!

Its hard:

A Christmas Story or Muppet Christmas Carol!

Its a Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th Street.

I don't think I've ever seen White Christmas! I'll have to look for it this year!

I Double Dog Dare anyone not to like A Christmas Story!!!

I also love Scrooged. This is my first year with a DVD payer so I may have to go out and buy both of them :D

My all-time favorite is Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas. It's by Jim Henson, with Kermit doing the intro to the story.

Tied in first place and it is just not Christmas w/o them...
I am going to have to say that I LOVE
"Auntie Mame" with Rosalind Russell
"Charlie Brown Christmas"
"Christmas Story"

Of course heading up the rear and tied for second place ;) are
"Wonderful Life"
"The Santa Claus"

All the rest came in third!
:D

Christmas is not complete unless we watch, "It's a Wonderful Life", and the original "Miracle on 34th St."

Classics, and what Christmas is all about :)

Here's a couple that haven't been mentioned:

Santa Clause: The Movie and How the Grinch Stole Christmas (I like how the movie slaps commercialism but nothing can take away from the original animated special!).

All the rest of the movies mentioned are on my "Must Watch" every year list....although I'm partial to the originals and not the remakes.

Christmas Vacation - our tradition is that we always watch it after Thanksgiving dinner. :)
