It was a great afternoon! I will definitely do another seminar or two the next time I make it to food and wine. I don't know when that will be but I'll definitely be signing up early!
I think she was picking something out of the shrubbery but it sure looks like she is bracing herself, doesn't it? Bummer about wine not agreeing with you. I've given up all things with bubbles for the same reason, it's kind of a drag. the cheese menu at Tutto Gusto looked lovely and they had some other nice options. The tables are low though so it's much more of an app/drink spot than maybe light lunch or dinner, unless you sat at the bar. I hate hunching over my food if it's a real meal.
That's it! taking one for the team! What was fun is everyone just got what they wanted, it wasn't like we all went to one kiosk and got the same thing, it made it fun.
Well he isn't the chef at La H but they definitely work together he said, I don't think the dish is on the menu at either place (it was asked but I'm not 100% on the answer). I think my concern with tomatillos is step one "remove the husk" I need to inspect one at the store to understand exactly what that entails! The sauce was outstanding! The chicken, basic but good.
Yes it would! I don't recall pasta but think there was panini and there was definitely a lovely cheese/charcuterie menu. I have visions of Jeff and I stealing away there.

That is what I always thought too!!! The chef's explanation made more sense. While the word itself may mean sauce, the execution of it through liquefaction and blending completely makes sense.
I adore sweet potatoes, could eat them everyday. I make them semi frequently but typically incorporate them into a dish like a stew as then the family likes them better. They will eat them mashed or baked (Evan won't) but prefer them in other ways. I do a African Chicken Ground Nut Stew in the crockpot with them that the whole family loves so that's probably the way they get them most of the time, other than at the holidays when I do a whipped/mashed version with Chipotle Cream.
Ok now I want sweet potatoes!
