Once again great pics ladies! I LOVED all the pictures of the treats!
Thanks!
My kids LOVED Goofy's barnstormer - they went on it about 10 times during our trip (ask MaryAz, her kids did it with them at
MNSSHP).
I like the displays too - First Aid, Second Aid!
And the line DOES get that long that you need those shade/umbrella thingies. We had to stand under them one day in October.
When we went into the tent we had only a short wait for Goofy and Donald, but it was too long to wait for Minnie and Daisy, so we skipped them.
Your Via Napoli meal looks so good!! I have to eat there next time for sure! Too bad no group pictures! I've done that before too.
ETA: I forgot - I've seen and tasted a Skinny Girl wine before and someone else had a SG mix for something - don't waste your money.
RE: Wilderness Lodge at 7 months - would it be impossible to get Christmas/NY time at 7 months?
Mary Ellen will have to weigh in on VWL at 7m, I think it would be tough but anything is worth a shot I think, that's the whole point of a waitlist! I'll pass on the skinny girl stuff, at that point I'll just take an ice tea at zero calories. I can't believe the lines were that long in Oct for you at Barnstormer, it was absolutely deserted when we were there.
Great updates! Too bad the lighting at the Meet and Greet was bad, Minnie and Daisy look cute in their circus costumes! I love the Barnstormer, it is such a cute roller coaster, the new theming looks fun too.
Awesome lunch at Via Napoli, I really want to try it there next time.
The outfits and the whole tent is adorable, I do wish we'd seen the boys too, maybe next year with my boys (I hope).
Caprese salad is one of my favorites! It looks delicious
It was outstanding. A little heavy on the oil but it was so good!!!
Great update! We love VN ... it's very close to real Italian food.
I love all the pictures of the new areas. There was only a small part open we we went and I am so looking forward to explore it all. We are under 40 days now and I cannot wait!
I adore ViaN, can't wait for next Dec, I'm going to insist it's in the line up.
Yay for getting to ride the "new" Goofini! Mary Ellen, I kinda like the old name too but I can see why they felt the need to change it up.
I enjoyed looking at all of the water play area pictures. All of that was still under construction when we were there in May. You can totally tell that you'd get soaked if you attempted to walk through that area.
Yummy looking lunch you two had a Via Napoli. Our dinner there was fantastic. So much so that we are going back in May.
Technically I don't think the name actually changed but they are marketing the Great Goofini aspect of it pretty heavily. Not sure, I'd have to look at a map to confirm. That water play will be a dead zone in the cooler times, kind of interesting that they gave that much real estate to it but then again, something like that was really needed at MK so it will be the opposite in the summer for sure!
Great updates ladies. I might have to add this restaurant to the list.
You should, it's just wonderful!
Love the Dumbo & Fantasyland pics. Barnstormer was DS17 favorite ride when he was little. Would love to see all 6' 3" of him on it in June for his graduation trip!
Looks like you had a fabulous ladies trip.
Love your trip reports! So happy to find time to DIS again!
6'3" that would be fun to see!
I love your pictures from the Goofini and with the fab 5 characters! That eggplant salad looks delicious!
The meet and great area and outfits really are adorable, they did a great job in the whole area I think.
I think he needs a better advisor. He has to apply into the business program - he is still pre business. I don't think he's going to have enough credits to start next fall, but he needs a real advisor to help him decide. He has a student advisor. I guess they don't get a faculty until they are actually in. And Brian is not pushy enough to get the help he needs. If he take 17 credits and a summer class he would have enough, but I'm not sure if that's the right move for him.
We are seeing the same exact thing with Taylor. He could do it in 2 years if he was on top of it...but he's not as best as we can tell and nor is he seeking advice that I'm sure is available to him. Very frustrating. Eric is like this too, waits for someone to tell him instead of finding it on their own.
I couldn't even edit mine brighter, which was a bummer. Usually I can. And a flash would be way too much glare. They should put some low level back lighting in there.
I liked the area too. I'm sure I liked it a lot more than I ever well this June.
I tried editing too, same issue. UGH that area in June will be ugly. But the nephews will eat it up!
I thought about buying a bottle to take home but my bag was so overstuffed I was afraid too. I think I was 49Lbs at weigh in.
Hey at least you didn't have to move stuff around to get it under the limit. I was pretty proud of how light mine was, better packing than usual though man I had a hard time getting it closed. One day I'll bust a zipper.
I know. I wish anita had realized that because she seemed so gung-ho when I told her Melissa could change the ADR to 6 people. Oh well, I guess when you go as much as Anita and Marc you lose track.
Seriously!
That pizza was SO GOOD! Denny loves eggplant and he grows it during the summer and makes some fantastic dishes with it. He would have loved that pizza. I really need to take him there for lunch. The two of us could easily split a pizza and be good. Better than the QS lines, that's for sure.
Oh definitely better than QS and not much more $$.
Cynthia. They had storybook circus merchandise when we were there in November. There were shirts.
They had the Dumbo I'm so fly stuff but nothing that was exclusive to Storybook Circus. Somethign to look forward to, I'd been hoping for a mug.
Your appetizer looked delicious. We need to eat there. Tom loves pizza so I know he would like it.
Great update!
It is a great restaurant, very traditional Naples style pizza. Yum!
Cynthia love your shirt! I noticed the Margarita on the front. Where did find it?
From Margaritaville! It says "changes in latitudes, changes in attitudes" on the back. I really like it, got it on the summer trip (it will show up in my souvie post at the end of my TR lol). It was funny though as I was really eyeing a different one and Evan and then the rest of the gang picked this one out and convinced me I needed it.
I'm so glad you thought of it
my kids are so excited that the barnstormer will be back on our next trip, they have missed it!
I have never done the monorail between MK and EPCOT

I will have to put it on my list for the next trip. It's looking like a Christmas trip is likely so I am thinking of things to do that won't require standing in long lines and crowds.
I really must get to Via Napoli! your pizza looks delish and I love those ovens. Did you know the names above them are names of Italian volcanoes? I get such a kick out of that touch!
I love those ovens. I can't believe you've never done the monorail between Epcot and MK! That is a must do. Although it will be full at Christmas. I was just discussing with my mom today that we need to ride it around the MK resorts to check out their decorations. And have a drink at each stop. And send the kids to the arcade while we do it.
Adorable photos with Minnie & Daisy, ladies! We had great fun with those 2 on our trip as well. I really love that new M&G area, and the costumes the characters are in. Storybook Circus is a great new area of the park! After riding Barnstormer a couple times with DS on our trip, I can't even imagine waiting more than 5 minutes for it. It seems like you are done in seconds!!!
Mmmmm Via Napoli!!! That is the one place on Disney property I literally crave between trips!!!
Via Napoli sounds so good right now! I guess the rides are short on purpose as they have a pretty young target audience? And are so popular that they want to move folks through as fast as possible? I do wish they were longer.
