I apologize to everyone for my lack of participation in the Photography board these past few weeks. On Christmas Eve I ended up going to urgent care where they diagnosed me with pneumonia. I've spent the better part of a month under doctor's care practicing "better living through chemistry". I'm finally getting all of my strength back so hopefully you'll see me around a lot more often (which is either a good thing or a bad thing depending upon how bizarre my posts are). It is a credit to the members of this board that during this time I have had very few problems that needed my attention. I want to thank all of you for making this one of the smoothest and friendliest boards I have ever had the pleasure to moderate.

Jeff

I had bronchitis for about 6 weeks and thought that was bad. I can't imagine what you went through.

Glad you are feeling better and back. :)

Glad to hear everything is going better for you now. To bad they don't have a wireless internet connection in hospital rooms, other wise you'd have been all set :teeth:

Anyway, nice to have you back. Now get out there and take some picture!! (its good for your health!)

Glad you're on the road to recovery!

Jeff - We've missed you but glad to know you're on the mend!

Good to see you, Jeff.

What, you don't want the community board, LOL? :scared1:

I can't even keep up trying to read a couple of threads over there with the speed it moves. I can't even imagine trying to moderate it.

Good to see you back Jeff and I hope everything is going well. My DW had laproscopic surgery about a week ago, so I am familiar with sickness as well.

Kevin

Jeff, Glad to see you are back, and I hope you continue to feel better. "O" and thanks for the sticky on the Photo Contest Rules and Topics.

Take Care,
Dana

Sorry to hear of your medical woes!! Good that you're on the road to recovery!!

Glad to have you back!!

I hope you are feeling better! I am amazed my husband hasn't come down with some lung infection. This is the first out of 3 winters he hasn't.

Thanks everyone for your well wishes. It is good to be able to get back to where more of my day is spent in a vertical position than horizontal. One thing about it, being confined to bed does give you a lot of time to read and mess with my Tivo. I went through a few Photoshop books and recommend most everything from Scott Kelby if anyone is interested.

Jeff

Jeff, they say the clearest sign of an effective leader is that the team continues to function seamlessly in the leader's absence. All credit to your leadership, I say.

As if suffering from pneumonia isn't bad enough; you get diagnosed on Christmas Eve? :sad2: My maternal grandfather contracted it three times within his lifetime, twice before the advent of antibiotics. My paternal grandfather died of it long before I was born. My daughter (now 22) was hospitalised with it at the age of 7. As you can imagine, I'm well aware of its severity, so I'd like to think I have a little insight into what you've been through. I'm pleased to hear you're on the mend.

Tell me a bit more about Scott Kirby. :confused3
