I apologize to everyone for my lack of participation in the Photography board these past few weeks. On Christmas Eve I ended up going to urgent care where they diagnosed me with pneumonia. I've spent the better part of a month under doctor's care practicing "better living through chemistry". I'm finally getting all of my strength back so hopefully you'll see me around a lot more often (which is either a good thing or a bad thing depending upon how bizarre my posts are). It is a credit to the members of this board that during this time I have had very few problems that needed my attention. I want to thank all of you for making this one of the smoothest and friendliest boards I have ever had the pleasure to moderate.

My maternal grandfather contracted it three times within his lifetime, twice before the advent of antibiotics. My paternal grandfather died of it long before I was born. My daughter (now 22) was hospitalised with it at the age of 7. As you can imagine, I'm well aware of its severity, so I'd like to think I have a little insight into what you've been through. I'm pleased to hear you're on the mend.
