Sorry people couldnt find an answer to my question using search and the help threads.......anyhoo....

We have booked the magical express thinking that it is free transport from the airport straight to our hotel (all-sports) now i think i remember reading something somewhere that says only the luggage goes to the hotel and we would go elsewhere..........is that correct?

sorry to be a pain people.:thumbsup2

Magical Express takes you directly to your Walt Disney World Resort

Your baggage is taken to your hotel in a different vehicle and will "magically appear" in your room some time after your arrival. - This may be the soruce of your confusion. But to be sure, both you and your luggage will be whisked safely and speedily to WDW by DME.:)

Thanks very much for the quick reply.

I was contemplating whether to book Magical Express or not. I actually e-mailed Disney with some questions but never received an answer.
When you get to the airport, is there a lien to wait in? Is there a chance that you will not be able to board the shuttle because of too many people? How long of a wait between shuttles? I have two daughters that are impatient and especially waiting to get to Disney. I would have to say that they take after me. LOL
I appreciate any help that you can give me.
We always rent a car, and i am not sure that i can go without driving, but it might be nice to have a vacation without driving. I have seen the ads for the town cars, but it would cost about the same as renting a car so why not have a car.
Thanks

When you get to the DME checkin desk, there will be a line set-up...just as anything else Disney does!!! It may look like a long line, but in most cases it isn't. I've been about 25 people back in the line yet gotten done with the checkin process in 10 mins tops. So...after you checkin at the desk, you will be directed to the bus lines, and a CM will send you into the appropriate line for your resort. The longest I have waited for a bus was about 15 mins...I had just missed the previous one.
All in all, my average time from deplaning to resort checkin has been about 70 minutes. If you decide to go with a rental or a towncar, you still have to go to baggage claim area and wait for your bags to appear. I'm not crazy about having to drive when I'm at WDW, so DME works out great for me!!

There isn't just ONE shuttle; there are various buses going to the different resort areas. If you're going to the All Stars, your shuttle will only be for the same general area, not all over the WDW property.
We've taken DME from the beginning, and  it!
Have a great, and worry-free, trip!:goodvibes

All forms of transportation will involve some waiting. With DME, you get in line at the DME Welcome Center, then to your bus. Each bus is supposed to wait around only 15 minutes before shoving off.

With a car service, you wait at baggage claim, and then wait for the driver to bring the vehicle around.

With a rental car, you wait at baggage claim, then wait in line at the rental counter.

Each of the above forms of transportation should take about the same amount of time. The only way to have ZERO wait, absolutely ZERO, is to not check any luggage, and walk straight to a waiting taxi.
