I have read a lot of posts on the refilable mugs, and realise this is not a popular topic. How can "one little mug" cause so much confusion? OK, now here's my questions>>> 1)if the resorts have coffee makers in their rooms do people purchase these mugs mainly for the soft drinks?
2)are the mugs refillable at the counter service places, or do you take them to the resort restaurant with you as well?
3) along with the coffee makers in your rooms, is the actual coffee, sugar, milk provided too? And do they provide tea bags in the rooms?
Sorry, if they are such silly questions....just trying to work out the cost effectivness of 6 of us buying mugs! :drinking1

3. Yes there is coffee (decaf and regular) and 2 different types of teabags. DBF is a decaf lover so we just left a note for mousekeeping asking for decaf only. You also get packs that have sugar, sugar substitute, and powder creamer. (When Dbf had run out of decaf for the day he went down to Roaring Forks (we were staying at WL) and came back with a handful of creamers, he told the CM he didn't like the powder cream they offered in the room she told him to grab some of the creamers for the next time.
2. The only place you can use your refillable mug is the Resort you bought it at. That means their CS not sure about the TS available at the resort taking the refilling the mugs.

personally I don't buy the mugs anymore to me they just aren't worth it. There are 3 of us and they would be $36 plus tax. When I can buy 12 packs of coke for $3 (144 cans for the same price as the mugs) just not worth buying them.

I have about 17 of the stupid refill mugs. Here's my view. If you don't want to ship in, or bring, a lot of soda, and you are going to be eating at your food court area every day, then buy the mug. If not, it will not be cost effect. They do make nice souveniers but how many can one person have??!!

I know that when dd and I go to WDW, we eat at least one meal a day in the food court, if we are at a value or moderate resort. And that mug gets refilled probably about 4 times total a day. But, if we are at a DVC resort it usually isn't all that easy to get refills. BCV has made it a bit easier with the new food area, but the others aren't so easy.

If you want to have soda or water and you drink a lot of it...I would have it shipped in...especially if you will have a fridge in your room.
