Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom Card List

I heard the Dash card also changed. Rumor is there is more like 80+ cards in a "full" set with little changes. I don't really care about that, though. I just want a full set of character cards to play with!!

BTW - played with cards on my iPhone yesterday! It worked perfectly. :goodvibes
That cracks me up that you can use spell cards from your iPhone... I may get with Mike and see if we can design a "Sorcerer's Spellbook" application for the iPad that you can use to play. :)

I'm an iPhone developer myself. Unfortunately Apple will not approve any Disney-related app (especially since it has animated characters) without prior Disney approval.

This happened to me on a few occasions when I tried to make a few different Disney related apps.

That is (unfortunately) very interesting and good to know. I see a lot of iPhone Disney apps go by in the Stitch Kingdom daily update thread... they're all blessed by Disney? I know Disney writes some of them, but I wouldn't think all of them.

Well- I wish Disney would get on developing their own app!! Honestly, I see so much potential here and I want it to grow!! I don't think they want my opinion, though. I always smile really big at the obvious "manager" types in the fire station. Nobody has talked to me yet!! :rotfl:

Yesterday I saw a "manager" CM with a STACK of spell cards. It must of been a full set. I wanted to go beg to just take photos of the ones I don't have yet!! WHY won't they sell me those cards!!?! :headache:

Oh- and through trading I was able to score Simba's Roar yesterday so we are one closer!!

Ducky, have you tried trading duplicates with other players? Even if you have to give up 2 commons, it would be worth it to get a new card.

Once they start for real, the rares and uncommons will most likely be hard to get, and there won't be many of them out there. When I was collecting Magic the Gathering card sets, out of a box of boosters I would have 1 of some of the rares, 1 of most of the uncommons, and boatloads of each common. :)

Right now it seems pretty casual. Everyone I've talked to are just looking for characters they don't have or their favorite characters rather than the "value" of the card. Yesterday I was given TWO #58 cards out of my free five and I already had one!! I was bummed when I left the firehouse but I was able to trade for two other cards so it all worked out.

Dangit I wish I was down there! :)

So I like the app idea.

The only thing disney would have a problem with is the use of there artwork as in the photos of the cards.

But that does not mean we could not make an app that would show 4 or 5 formatted pictures from your camera roll. So you would pick the picture yourself. this would allow the user to get the photos of the cards on there own. Disney would have nothing to do with that.

On another note, we could just make a website that would do the same thing, you could navigate to the webpage via safari on the iPhone and pick the cards you want to display on the screen.

Interesting ideas for sure.

Quick question - if you get a set on cards on one trip, are you able to use them in game play at a later date? My Mom is there now and I'm sending her in tomorrow to try to play. Can we use those cards when we go together at the end of the month?

I'm still trying to wrap my head around how the whole game works. After looking at the excel spreadsheet it seems very D&D (which I never managed to get into although it's very much my nature). I assume it would be simple enough for a newbie to play though.

Thanks for sharing the wealth of info!

Yes, you can use/reuse the spell cards on any visit. It appears to be a traditional "collectible card game", where the more you collect, the better off you are game-wise. :)

The game has three levels: easy, medium, and hard. So far they've been testing easy, where any spell card defeats any bad guy. We don't know the details for medium or hard, but assume it takes into account spell type, action type, and the associated numbers, somehow. :)

So for right now, a newbie should be fine on the easy level. The spreadsheet is looking forward to the medium and hard levels.

Went last night and 4 out of 5 cards were the EXACT same ones I got Sunday. I don't know if that can happen by chance! I wonder if they are starting to circulate more of the common cards?

Also- I want to make sure I put this out there since it wasn't clear to me until Sunday. YOU CAN REUSE KAY CARDS. I started a new key Sunday and went back yesterday with the same key. They gave my five new spell cards and sent me on my way.

One last thing worth mentioning, it is SO much better at night!! If you have the option of playing your first time in the dark I totally would. :thumbsup2

I would expect the key card to just be an identifier. A record number into the database of players, like your Key To The World card is a record number into the database of hotel guests. Both stay in the system for a predetermined duration (for the room key, until the end of your stay). No need to give you a new one each day. Maybe if you don't play for 2 weeks, it dumps your data out of the system. But I bet if you come back 6 months later (barring a system overhaul), you can still use that key card and start over.

Check the numbers on your cards: 41-60 are commons. I could see them starting to adhere to rarities soon, maybe right after the next round of CM testing.

Im sure your 100% right on this. The RFID chip in the card would be a static number that could be used over and over. Yes, you would have to start again every trip assuming disney does not store all player data indefinitely.

So, only remaining card images I need are,

7,8,9,17,22,37,45

Once I get them I will upload the files for all to download and such.

I got 7,8,9, 17 and 37 today. I'm down here until late Thursday, but if you PM me, I'll happily get you pics on Friday.

We did it on Sunday and Monday. Got completely different cards. We were told you need to let them know if you've played before, and to save your key to use. We didn't know this, so we had a new key for the 2nd day. My 7 year old scanned it backwards the first time, and we had to scan it backwards each time after that to open a portal.

For those of you who are collecting cards and want to keep them relatively pristine, let me suggest card sleeves. Looking on Amazon I saw 100 sleeves for under $10. There are plenty of varieties:

Soft sleeves, flimsy but effective, and usually the cheapest. They don't protect your card from easy bending.

Hard sleeves, usually called deck protectors, with a clear back or opaque colored back. These are stiff, and give the most protection against creasing and bending. They are thicker and heavier, with one side being a stiff plastic and the other side being like a soft sleeve.

Both are slick, so holding onto a stack of them can be problematic. Magic card decks are usually 60 cards, and one good bump to the table and your sleeved deck slides and topples. :) They aren't waterproof, but only one end of the sleeve is open, so it helps against drips to the face of the card. The front is usually glossy, so the SotMK cameras might have an issue if you hold the sleeve wrong.

You can also get binder sheets like for baseball cards, with nine slots on a page.

I will probably get some hard sleeves once I get some cards.
